We should be organizing a boycott. You might think it won't do anything but there's nothing banks love more than money. If their revenue drops by a fraction of a percent you bet they'll be having meetings about it.

Literally all you have to do to boycott these companies is pay with cash. Just buy groceries, get a haircut, ride a taxi, get whatever crap you buy, and pay with cash. Jokes aside, if Patreon stops allowing nsfw it might become a problem. You can't make a good game in your free time with frequent updates and not getting paid. If this happens porn game industry will shrink drastically (people need to pay for the bills after all).

Have you seen the itch.io main page? They have hundreds, if not thousands, of non-porn games. Many free and others for sale.
Do porn games even make that much money for itch? I mean, none of us are certainly contributing because we're on a site dedicated to pirating those games.
In my opinion itch might have to downsize, but there's a good chance they'll survive this.

Yea, I've read that the real reason behind it is for Banks and directives to be able to decide what games are allowed or not. So they target the easiest blank which is porn and after they normalize all of that and get support of minorities they go for all the normal stuff like action games or games that could imply a political message against a governement or in general. Example: Hotline Miami saga (specially the second game) is an anti-war game where the message is that 'no matter how many violence you do, you will always be a pawn of something much bigger than you that you can't stop'.
