All NSFW games on Itch are now hidden by default.

Well they're anti-violent things too. Long before they turned their eyes towards sexual content, there were already decades of global action against civilians owning weapons and limiting what is construed as self defense. In most countries around the world a person who defends themselves against a criminal will get more prison time than the criminal.

Even here in the land of cheeseburgers and guns, we had stuff like Operation Chokepoint with payment processors trying to shut down website hosters to gun stores/forums, and associated transactions.

They kind of lost that war due to CAM such as 3D printing though. 3D printed weapons are good enough that they are used in every major conflict in the world today in some form. Eroge needs to undergo a similar revolution of self sufficiency. Personally I think crypto currency is that answer. We already have a lot of options for distribution of the games, once an alternative payment is established they really can't cancel anyone that easily. F95 and similar sites are already good for indexing and finding new games. Frankly better than Itch IMO.
It seems pretty clear to me that we should create our own group to counter things like this from happening.
You mention guns and they have their support groups who still seem to be pretty successful in defending their rights.
And i agree we need to find a way to pay without having to rely on the big payment services since it's pretty clear that they have way to much power and are to easily influenced by others.
With crypto i have some doubts tho it's seems to easily influenced by price fluctuations and we would also have to avoid the coin being associated as "the sex coin" or the "erotic game coin" since that might make it harder to get that coin.

The last thing i would like to mention is that we need to find a way to counter this group or groups that arranged this it's clear they have gained to much influence but since they target other things as well besides erotic games they probably have a lot of enemies.
Maybe we should try to get into contact with those enemies and see if we can find a way to work together in countering this group.

omg good that thay dont ban good palestinians homies like :

which certainly not encourage and glorified terrorism :D

Now do COD.

You know, in terms of budget, reach and so on. Heck, now do "America's Army". Or the entire MARVEL series of films. Or the entire TV industry churning out pap like 24 or Fauda.

*Points to tiny game with zero budget that might even be made by the CIA (we have no way of telling) while ignoring the multi-multi-billion dollar USA.mil PR machine that is main stream GamerZ*

"LOOK, THE EVUL IZLAMIZZZISTS!!! I READ REDDIT/WORLDNEWS FOR MY MEDIA, I AM VERY SMART"

Mr Man: terrorists they might be, but they're not on the winning side in any engagement I've seen in the last 80 years. And they certainly have nothing close to the kill count of "the good guys". Abrahamic religions man - fucking cancer at this point.

Please research two things:

A) The efficy of online petitions (zero)
B) Who owns the Lobbying companies behind all of this & compare / contrast $$$ weight (you have zero atm, they have considerably more)

A + B = Your petitions are as useful as posting huge BLACK SQUARES on Twitter for BLM.

Unfortunately this is and is not the case.
Japan creators are also having trouble selling and buying stuff on DLsite.
I am a seller on DLsite but I keep on getting emails of payments and search tags being blocked for specific content.
This was sent to me on 25/2/4.

DLsite / EISYS, Inc.

Dear Circle

If you are using DLsite from a specific country or region, you will be able to select a list of your productions
We have decided to restrict you from displaying and purchasing.

We are implementing this as a measure to ensure that international users continue to use the service.
Due to our service, the sales channels for your works will be narrowed

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
View and sell in Japan is as before.

We would like to continue to deal with the important works of Mr. Circle.
Thank you for your understanding.

-----
DLsite always had payment problems with western card companies.
Japanese bank processes payment just fine but is blocked with master/visa/paypal.
Unfortunately master and visa cards are widely used in JP and the rest of the world.
But fortunately DLsite did not bend the knee because its website is mainly built up on adult content.
The government of JP also trusts freedom of content as you can see a lot of JP congressmen are not happy with this.

As a seller, I know that they cannot even send the money directly to the creators so they put a empty shell company in order to pay foreign creators on DLsite.
Wow... Seems like the situation is far worse than i thought :/

Well talking on a forum isn't going to change anything either.
With these services as long as enough of their paying customers start complaining they will change their mind eventually especially if it hits them in their pockets.

Wallet voting is way more powerful than a petition. Many businesses closed after their clients stopped purchasing from their companies. See Veilguard, for example. People decided to not purchase it and it became a huge failure.
Magazine Luiza's stocks are at their lowest(under 2 bucks per stock) due to people avoiding them.
Many women-only bars closed due to lack of clients. Many stores that enacted female-first policies also ended up shutting down.
So, take your business elsewhere if the current one threatens your livelihood.

How are you going to vote using your wallet against payment processors? They control finance how are you going to fight the duopoly of visa/mastercard when everyone is forced to use them?
There needs to be bipartisan government action.

Using alternative payment methods. VISA and MasterCard control credit/debit card use. There is PIX, Crypto, ACH, UnionPay, etc. I know crypto can be somewhat annoying to work with, but it's our best bet for a totally free market.
Regulations will help only during the beginning, because it can also become a tripoly, where either VISA, Mastercard or the Government controls what you can purchase with your own money.
Why do you think governments are fighting crypto with CBDC and PIX? Because they want to be the third power in the market.
There are some alternate payment processors like GabPay, whose creator was booted by both VISA and MasterCard.
With Nostr becoming a little more popular with Shopstr and Geyser having its own store, I think crypto is our best bet for total freedom.

To be honest, I don't think games like that should be banned either. This is the problem with censorship once you start censoring stuff people will start saying "hey if you censor that you have to censor this as well" and shit just gets worse for everyone.

Agree, once one starts, it will derail. Hence why it should be fought. It's up to parents to check what their kids are playing, all platforms have parental controls.

Kay, researched it.
The article stated over 792,000 petitions had been created on change.org and then talk about only 5 of the successful ones.

That isn't research on efficacy... And if you call it that, that 5 out of 792,000 which only proves that other person's point. It is highly ineffective.

If you actually went to change.org and looked, it's over 100,000 petitions that claim success. Out of nearly 800,000 --- that's about 13% effective. Which is better.... But not great. And in order for online petitions to be successful it requires more than just online signatures...

See: on how to up advocacy. Specifically the section about getting out into the public.

I'm going to reply once, but never again. I've grown tired of how insufferable you are, and set you to ignore. I say this so you don't waste your time in the future.

As you like to say, in the most condescending way possible, have a good day.
