The basic setup can be the most cliched out there, whether it's going to be good or not, falls upon the ability and the capability of the story writer, not the scenario itself. You could create the backbone of a story from the most generic elements, and make it into something outstanding if you're good enough, while you could have the most unique backbone, if you're incapable of writing a good story around it, it will end up badly. If you strip down AD and Filf, both has the identical elements to it, with a very generic setup. Single 20ish guy lives with his mother and sister, and has a bunch of other girls that he can meet and fuck aside from them. AD having the time travel element to it doesn't make it automatically better.
If you feel Filf as a very generic game, that's because ICC made it into that, and no matter what extra unique element he uses with AD, it could end up with the same result. Actually it already did in many aspects. Ultimately it's always about how the creator uses a tool, not the tool itself. Given how linear both games are and how similar the writing style, the time travel aspect won't be able to make that much of a difference and shoot this up who knows what heights in any regards.
If you take this into account, the question of which game development should be prioritized if they will end up similarly anyway, is very simple. The one that managed to pull in a crowd around it, and with all it's genericity, managed to become somewhat successful, not the one that already caused a massive shitstorm because of a very badly written plot element in it's very early stages.

I really tried to play this game, but goddamn i hate that Kimberly Girl...
I was actually looking forward to a cool female character as your partner in crime, but that is one manipulative bitch.
It feels more like HER story than the MCs...

So... there's no content in this update, right? Cause the Changelog doesn't really see to indicate any. Not sure why this was bothered to be released instead of just including these changes in the next content upate.
From what I read it was to help his patrons out quickly since he isnt currently working on the game

I would have to agree. Seems like FILF fans just come here to trash on this game though lol. FILF is fine, but it's just a girl that does a camshow, one that does porn and one that strips. Super boring but people here somehow think that has better story. The creator himself says that FILF was supposed to be a whole different game but changed when he went to renpy. This game has more potential storywise imo

as I wrote in one of my previous post the plot sounded very interesting.
how the Kim-character was portrayed that was not well received by some player,it was also not my cup of tea.
as he(ICC) mentioned she change her behavior during the game.
I firmly believe in it...and as they say in Germany: "Augen zu und durch!"
but then came the unspeakable one...v0.02a and the shitstorm broke out.
he tried to defuse it with v0.02b, but by then the child had already fallen into the fountain.
he was still trying to smooth things over but it didn't help.
so he wanted to take a break from this project and take care of FILF.
through the hatred that was shown to him he decided to delete his account on July 29th. which I think is a shame.
FILF has its advantages and disadvantages, one likes it one, the other not.
i think he should finish that first and then concentrate fully on AD.
am very excited how Kim is developing, maybe she will be the LI as he(ICC) mentioned, maybe not.
time will tell. and hopefully by then the mood will have calmed down.

WTH again such a long time to update just to add no content at all? This guy should have focused at filf, but he messed 2 times starting a new project and and doing it so damn bad. Such a disappointment.
What are you talking about? He is literally working on FILF. He just said he spent a day to do some quality of life changes of this game. Literally appalled by this message
