It just doesn't matter, your so called "friend" could erase you from timeline because she was horny, she also broke her promise to you to not go after your mother. I kind of agree with you but I think this whole "a woman would know that Julia is pregnant" stuff is bullshit. I am sure Kim knew but only because Julia shared it with her. And I dont think developer wanted to make her pregnancy obvious. I think its more like he didnt want to make it obvious to create more tension and this is why Kim doesnt mention it in 0.2 when she tries to explain herself.

The literary conundrum is that even though Kim made a mistake that would be hard to forgive - it led to provideing MC with everything he ever wished, stable family with solid income, happy and loving mother which makes it hard to hold a grudge.

I understand an anrgument that a change in past can lead to anything even if Julia is pregnant already or how Julia from new present can be a whole different person due to changes. This is a pretty valid point but guys this is a porn game about time traveling. You gotta cut it some slack. If you are gonna analyze time travel stories closely like that then 90% of them will just come apart.

I am sure Kim will realise that a change in past couldve ended up creating a present where mc doesnt exist even if Julia was pregnant already so she will feel very guilty and sorry. And Julia will be the same person except a bit happier and married to Penny.

So if we are playing a Clone MC that only came about because mom aborted the original because she wanted a family with the teacher then why are we pissed at Kim.
After all if Kim hadn't fucked the mom and the Clone MC hadn't brought the teacher to meet the mom while looking for Kim at the water tower then the selfish mom wouldn't of aborted the original MC and his sister inorder to instead have clones with the teacher.

I don't think it makes sense to point out all the inconsistencies of this game's time travel given that the dev didn't have a whole lot of space to develop its rules yet. Also, in one of his previous games the MC is literally his own grandfather, so don't expect things to make sense.

I also see no reason to be upset about the original 0.2a ending. Kim was always presented as someone that would fuck up like that and I'm sure she will work things up with the MC - who seems more reasonable than the average player I would say. Mods, that was not aggressive, I'm a good boy now.

We can go in circles about a piece of literary fiction probably not to be nominated for Hugo award this year.
As it is, this event (Kim vs Mom) was conceived to be one of the main story drivers and the MC internal struggle to adapt to the change - one of the key motivations.

Julie did not marry in the original timeline, her hardship stems from being a single mom. I agree that such change in circumstances would affect Julie's character, probably making her more positive, but MC will miss on all that "good times" and be marooned in a non-existing timeline. As answer to your quick note - 20 years back an abortion may have been harder to perform, and having a loving and supportive partner (Penny) would steer Julie immensely towards keeping the children (as they cannot have their "OWN"). SO we can go in circles here too.
Main question is - since MC's main motivation is for his family to have better life (specially his mother) would he sacrifice it for "correcting" the timeline?

Really enjoyed that. The story is unique and really well done. So many different possibilities to go with, so much different directions for the story to go. Fantastic.

That's always the dilemna with disturbing the timeline. Is improving a loved one's life worth the cost of sacrificing your shared history together? Probably need to judge on a case-by-case basis.

Sometimes, changes you think are good have unintended results. Like in Star Trek: TNG when Picard goes back and prevents the bar fight that gets him stabbed in the heart, but that takes the edge and drive off his personality, and he never smashes through the Starfleet ranks to become captain.

In the game's case, I personally think the trade-off was worth it. Julia's life was in a downward spiral, and she was most likely headed to an early grave, with the exhaustion, stress, and smoking. MC might not share memories with her any more, but they have time to create more now. Opinions may vary, of course.

Well, maybe if it's the MC that makes a change...but it was Kim that made the first change. It's safe to say that she'll be the one making the changes moving forward based on the positive results of her first change. There is nothing about her personality that says she'll stop from initiating other seductions or let the other MC of the story do anything other than follow her lead and cheer her on.

Well one assumption that is made by most so far is that the change had only positive outcomes. I would be kinda surprised though if after Kim and MC get to know the new reality better it will not have some pretty negative outcomes for either of them as well or making that disaster they saw come closer, necessitating them to change more in past. Now if there was justice in this game the negative consequences would mainly hit Kim where it hurts her seriously. Also starting her redemption arc and giving MC a reason to help her anyway even if angry.

Yea, I don't think that's gonna happen. Given what we've seen so far from her character and how she gets away with everything she's probably with MCs sister in this "version" of present. That will literally be the ultimate "Fuck You" to the MC if it ends up this way, which I think it does, it just fits.

To be honest I would save before the choice, fuck Kims mom and watch the scene then load my save and choose not to fuck her for my main playthrough. I am nice like that.
