U get a explanation in the begining on how the game works.
but in short when ur grabbed there will be flashing a light after the animation is done. then u need to press a button in order to get out of grab now it is timed so you need to time the press just after flash not hold it.
White is up
Purple is also Up

I also played the newest update from their patrion 3.1 and it is just more of the same just more girls same mekaniks.
Must say i did like this system since it is made so you can look were ever you want instead of having to look at a struggle bar.
but in gameplay it is very broken and tedius.

The struggle system is the worst I saw in games like this. IDK if it's for the lag of my bluetooth controller, even if I never faced a problem like this in other games (both from Steam and F95), anyway it's almost impossible to struggle. Sadly, a good idea ruined by a terrible gameplay.
The mechanism of this game is the same as shit. In the battle, there are always inexplicable animations without warning, and the blood is continuously deducted. The most shitty thing is that even if your blood volume is 0, the animation will not end.
As for the arrow mentioned at the beginning, it almost never appeared.
