I've always wondered if pixelation can be made in such a way as to reconfigure the pixels so it adheres to the laws of japan, but can be undone with an algorithm, i assume it would have such stipulations but have always wondered about the specificity.
You're asking the right questions. Although, the better question would be "Why are Japan's censorship laws the way that they are?"
It's because of their regressive outlook that's set them back decades in some ways from the rest of the world. They're so staunchy opposed to change things that they won't take the most proven and obvious solution to their declining birthrate and skyrocketing elder population: allowing more people to move there.

I've come to the conclusion that, in general, nobody in Japan supports the law as it is, and those who have the authority to alter it are unwilling to jeopardize the long held reputation in order to do so.
I should've meant that 100% of what I said is about the government and not the citizens. Fully agree, shits kinda fucked over there and the citizens have ostensibly no power to change anything.

I'm even more confused about why he refused to upload the uncensored version on patreon or subscribestar. Someone asked these questions on twitter and cien but no. Japanese law can't control these platforms, right?
