i have nothing personal inside my laptop and also im using win 11 and defender is constantly active, if the game had virus inside, the defender would detected it and forcefully remove it so i wouldnt be able to download it or install it to play...all my personal info is safe and sound, all i have inside my laptop is my recordings of all animes im saving to binge watch in future
If I wish to scan something for viruses what exactly do I scan? I always chuck the run exe file into virustotal

Same, I saw it, thought the art looked nice. "Maybe I'll download later tonight". I forgor, went to sleep, and woke up to see the news that my forgetfulness does have its benefits every now & then
I ran the game through crossover on mac so does the malware still affect me? I used malwarebytes to scan but it said no threats detected. Still deleted the game just in case, but was just wondering
i deleted the game and run my anti-virus after read the coments, hope this game can have a version without alerts of virus lol

Since if that's the case it would be a case stretching way beyond f95 ...
I've been running it fine on Mac with no issues - no viruses here from what I can see. Japanese games can ping false positives on virus scans with the Japanese language in the plugin files as the moment the anti-virus see characters it doesn't recognise it'll ping positive. I can't say for sure for the PC people but it's pretty common when we're uploading js.file edits the anti-virus starts flagging. That said: Better to err on the safe side and clean things up + wait for a clean uploaded version. Given they've pinged a pixi.js file it sounds like its probably malicious -> pixi.js files are in every rpgm mv/mz game and usually won't ping.

The one here came later than the ryuu one.
Usually the scammers use f95 as the "starting point".
If the ryuu version has it too ... then f95 wasn't the starting point in this case ... (which it might still be the case, not saying otherwise)
I mean more or less the f95 version came one day later than the ryuu one to be specific ...

What made you think it was immune to being used with malicious intent? It's all code in the end. Anyone with enough knowledge and determination can alter any program to serve their needs.
