it’s all usually part of a chain of uploads I think. Either Ryuu takes from here or here takes from ryuu. More commonly I think ryuu has it first most of the time. It’s particularly noticeable for the Mac users as if the Mac version is behind here: guaranteed it’s also behind at ryuu. Idk much about the scammer habits so I’ve got nothing else but to take your word for it.

i usually bought every games that i like... cause if i wasn't bought the game then i will support through campaign. the reason for my hate on windows defend is it useless. it block nothing. i have to use third party apps to rescan everysingle time. last month, routine check, windows defender couldn't even recognise side load programs that i was working on. it even cause bugs or delete my files without my permission. the most uselesss anti virus since 2014. the thing with it is, it is free...and free software never reach my expectation.

1) it's up to your memory if you believe that my claim that this came out more or less a day later than ryuu (or try to get other testimonies i don't know ... btw european here so consider time zone too).
One thing that can help you out is that ryuu still has this game page link up and running (and they were untouched since they first put it on August 19 unless they really are the evil OG masterminds behind everything ...)
2)ryuu steal and gets stolen from yes ...
however the guys uploading stuff at ryuu are just a few (just 2 or 3 i'm assuming ...) and in "theory" they are supposed to be trusted ...
so even if they "steal" their stuff they would check it out first before uploading it themselves
so far i recall only one case of trojan by ryuu ...
What I'm getting at is that at ryuu things are more regulated than here
3)on f95 anyone can post a link and the thread owners or admin can naively put those links on the front page mistakinly trusting them to be safe.
This has happened MULTIPLE times here ...
4)now my speculation that i was try to imply was ...
scammer saw that on f95 it was behind in this flashy new hot release
took it (let's say from ryuu itself)
spend his one day window to put his trojan and upload it
put his link here
the rest is history ...

I didn’t read all the post here. Just the ones were I was quoted. The problem is the game itself was share in Games request way before it was updated here and Ryuu also checks game requests. I’ll check it later.
Also ryuu is pretty slow in removing malicious files as seen with the dangames one that is (or at least was 12 hours ago) still up on ryuu and IS malicious.

think i got the virus from this game.. malwarebytes came up with like 1000+ detections. Took the full nuclear route of full reinstalling windows and deleting all the partitions and everything and changing all my passwords, so I hope thats sufficient

Those dangames (whatever games are they even just for reference?) I guess I can take your word for it ...
However when it comes to THIS particular game ... ryuu wouldn't need to steal anything from f95, this game was a part of their VIP library really close to its release ... so in THIS case for THIS game ryuu wouldn't have stolen here ... he would just need to make his own one public ...
Rather ryuu doesn't even need to "steal" games from here, the only thing that he really steals from f95 are FanTLs that pops around here ...

Weird thing, Bob… I actually grabbed the game when someone dropped the link in my request thread way before it even got updated in the OP.
Saw a few people saying their AV flagged it as a virus so I ran it through Windows Defender just to be safe. Came out clean on my end.
So uh… are we good here or should I still be worried? (￣～￣; )
