I mean its a visual NOVEL. it is essentially a picture book. It should be even easier to convey a story since you can use pictures.

I dont know what the exact criteria of a visual novel is but id assume it needs visuals and a story to be a visual novel. Are you saying this game doesnt have those things? criticizing "bad story" when you have a game with a super-hot chicks (only a few games have such "potential" imo) with a decent plot/set-up, making a premise for one of the better games overall, is just punchable

I think I may be a "happy medium" on this discussion. I get the lack of curiosity on MC to insist in what putted him into a coma (and other details) may be putting you out of story, mostly when he notice it was a starting point on his full home falling down. Trust me, I also did some "but why?" while playing the game. On the other hand; I also get that the family is on the last straw to lose everything so even when the ideal is to give MC time to recover and relax, in their reality that may not be an option. "Mom" is at minimum a stripper at this point, worse case scenario an escort, and bitchy blondie is most likely also a stripper or a "happy ending masseuse". Big sister is kinda broken emotionally. And eviction letters are still piling up. I mean; the fridge is pretty much wasting electricity at that point, the damn thing is empty and they're technically surviving on plain cereal. Also unless dev gave us a time jump of some days/weeks to a proper recovery to be happening first days would've been pretty boring, that would've been a bad start for a game. And it's a porn game, think more in porn logic than normal movies logic or reality. And it has way more logic than porn. lol
I get your point, but I'm taking it as the family being a mess. All their lives did an apparent 180 for the worst and they may not know how to properly react at that point. The mom supposedly being a strong while collected woman, going all "you must be the man of the house now", plus her almost brake down in the taxi gives me an "I'm faking not being a mess but I'm about to brake" vibe, while "passing you the car keys, because she can't drive much longer" so to speak. Bitchy Bondie is a mystery to me, but maybe she's just bitching because "onii chan" was absent and she didn't get him to stretch her during that time, plus the reality check of lacking money while being a brat. The Ex is another mystery; all points out at her being with somebody else, but the girl came to your house because she wanted to be there the second she knew you went out of coma; to my that's either love or guilt. So either this is going to be the part when you cuck whoever she is with and steal the girl back, or she isn't really with anybody else and her secret involves MC being some bad guy that also had them all in some kind of harem and was even feared by others in town. Your past seems to be a secret in that house and apparently a bad one and I'm guessing maybe her issue was finding out who you really was, maybe catching you. I'm stretching theories at this point.

yeah, your point is the dev should either revamp a whole story (to better fit that thoughtful critics), or just abandon his/her patreon and put an original story without any obstacles.
