Well I dont know how things work right now in the game, but when I played last 0.7 or smth. I dropped already after prologue, charachters didnt had any facial expressions, like at all and its in the story where mc gets out of long time coma. Mother and sisters had indifferent faces contrary to what was happening on the scene, not even brow twitched on mother face when she firstly saw her son out of coma. No sobs, cries, happines, sadness, angryness etc on faces. And the same applies to everyone in every situation, first sex scene was great but poker faces and general vibes around this lazy and scummy dev made me drop this. Maybe game not that bad and definetely have good visuals but "Other games are very much inferior in atmosphere and quality of renderings and animations" dude) When was the last when you cheked top rated games here?)
why in the world is he doing an update about a secondary character nobody cares about haha. Did his patreons vote on this?

I can't believe how often this happens with these hot-shot VN "novelists."
No matter what the hell else is going on in a 3d render, the faces of the characters are what the viewer focuses on.
There are loads of 3d products available with plug-in expressions. They are easy to buy (or otherwise obtain.)
Same goes for poses. Body language says a lot if you let it.
Also, once the scenery is set up the time can be spent on the characters. Not rocket science by any means.

It doesn't matter with a VPN (VPN = Virtual Private Network.), might check them out, with them there are no restrictions on hosts.

As an example - a very popular game called Being a DIK. I tried several times to pass it, but every time I gave up - I was just bored. Similarly, Summertime Saga. Idiotic plot with a surplus of cows (in every sense of the word "cow"). Love and Sex: Second base - the developers, instead of stopping in time and eventually getting a good game, with passion increased the number of female characters and possible harems, in which the devil himself will break a leg. In the end, I gave up the game - I play to relax, not to keep a notebook accounting stylistics for each of the heroines. These are just three examples, but there are more games like this that I've abandoned at one stage or another - Taffy Tales, Reunion, College Bound, Tales of Terrara, Young Again, 23 Sisters.... etc. Popularity is a very tentative measure of a game's quality. Some need only sex, some need an interesting plot, others need a kind of fantasy with spicy elements to forget about the cares and worries of our real world.

First time I've ever seen my browser (Firefox) report a virus in a download before it's completed. Such is the case with the download from Mixdrop. "This file contains a virus or malware....etc".

Mixdrop is a trash. Pop-up windows, very low download speed. If there is no torrents, I prefer Uploadnow or Gofile.
This is just my personal opinion, but I'm not really interested until and unless Alexandra gets a good update. Will check back in a few months. Maybe

Well I tried few from your list and agree that they cringe, bad or have other serious problems (Summertime Saga included), some of the games from your list not even close as top rated by the way, But being a DIK objectively way more better and superior to what I saw in Amnesia. Here we have braindead sandbox which hides lack of content and just stretches playtime, as I saw a lot of people have bugs in progression after almost every update, characters dont have facial expressions which create feeling that noone dont give a fuck about anything, which ruins immersion and shows that dev spends way less time on the game developing by skipping this very important part, turtle speed progression on main charachters bcause dev definetely just milking naive patrons longer before delivering main content of the game, lack of choices - all will happen only one way, dont want to get raped? Well fuck you and play as I(dev) writed), gameplay without walktrough mods and forum cheking is pure suffering. Thats only what I remember and saw on forum, Im sure if I will spend full time on this game I will be capable to bombard way more of game aspects)

This started happening to me as well in the last week or so. Firefox. It was with asset files on here, pretty sure they're false alerts. Not so sure I'd offer anything more than sympathy if you get your HDD's encrypted with ransom demands, though
