AMNESIA.PROGRESS REPORT #8 is out。
+7% progress to level 1 in the piggy bank. We still have difficulties with the beginning of programming, because our programmer (who is outsourced) is busy with third-party projects and hasn't had time for ours. Since the game code has been completely rewritten, we need the programmer to build the first few scenes and write the instructions (which we are waiting for), and then we can do the rest ourselves.

What's been done this week:
+I continue to work on checking scenes up to 2nd star and added FreeRoms to this list of scenes.
+Checked 11 FreeRoms scenes. Marked missing frames and necessary fixes.
+Corrected and finalised 9 scenes (1 secondary story scene and 8 FreeRom scenes). Secondary story scenes up to 1st star fully finalised.
+Artists and I continue to finalise fixes, this is a work in progress.
+Rendered and prepared for further processing 3 scenes (1 secondary story scene and 2 FreeRom scenes). Secondary story scenes up to 1st star are fully rendered. However, an important thing to mention, almost all renders for scenes are ready, but a scene is not considered fully rendered until all animations in that scene are rendered as well. So there are still scenes with animations left, which means the progress of this block will slow down a bit.
+Rendering work continues.
+Processed 15 scenes (6 story scenes, 8 minor scenes, 1 FreeRom).

+Color correction of 11 scenes (5 story scenes and 6 minor scenes).

Yeah, these games can be like that. But there's tons of other games to play. I just play something else. Heck, there's a few games I haven't checked on in so long that I have a few updates to play through. Can't really complain when most of us aren't paying for it.i complain because it tooks very long time and alexandra still virgin
Plus, I tried my hand at making one... I can program no problem, but setting up a scene for ONE RENDERED IMAGE can take a REALLY long time, especially if you check for errors (like me) and hate the smallest imperfection (like me). if you want quality images, that will take even longer, and that is just for ONE image. Try it sometime. Create a short story, then render images, come up with dialog for it etc. It takes a lot of time, and if you have a job and family, you can't devote a lot of time to it.
I still want to finish making the visual novel i started. I don't know if I will ever release it, but it's been fun. I already changed the look of the main character four times now. LMAO (started off with Genesis 3 characters, now Genesis 8). But yeah, it takes a shit ton of work to make anything decent. My biggest roadblock is my imagination, I suck at coming up with a good story.

Of course, creating games is a complex process and there are no claims to developers who make games in their spare time for example, who are new to development and cannot yet produce quality content or a large number of renders. But Super-Alex is not a newbie, he has a big number of patrons and by the number and quality of animations we can conclude that he is capable of making cool content.
But instead of quality sexual development of relationships with girls or advancement in the story, revealing at least some secrets of the plot, we get a jerk-off of the main character. And at the moment when it seems that this endless wanking should end and real sex scenes should begin, he decides to make a remake. In the end everything will be cool and high quality, I'm sure, but the game is almost 5 years and people's doubts about milking are fair.

Yeah, the remake bug has definitely plagued a lot of VNs. It's part of why, IF i create anything, I don't want to release anything unless I am totally satisfied with the characters, which for me, probably means it won't see the light of day (except one time I posted the little I had created when someone asked to see it).
If he does quality renders, than that is even worse and takes far more time. Personally, I would rather see lower quality and more quantity renders. I think that aiming too high for quality for an image someone will look at for a second or two, just isn't worth the time, especially when the end result of quality scenes leads to a longer wait for updates.

I agree. I like Lazy Monkey's ( developer of "monkey business" and "imperial chronicles" ) approach to development. His renders aren't as highly detailed as Super Alex's, but that doesn't diminish the appeal of the characters in any way. He gives out updates every 2 months and there's a moving story there every time. You don't need a bunch of renders per scene to tell a decent story or create sexy scenes to jerk off to. Also he's got five times less subscribers than Superalex.

always new assets/assets generation so unless starts making game right after gen x comes then takes risk that gen y comes out with better assets and better graphic cards etc.
