It's not the delay, you should stop working on projects which don't get good reviews and then they end getting abandoned.
It's one of the worst ways to do patreon imo, devs can't figure out what extra content to do for higher tiers so they just delay existing content to justify them being there in the first place.Splitting the patreon tiers into release dates is moronic. $10 a month is too high, and paying less is pointless because you know it'll be leaked before you can access it. Better to have more patrons at lower amounts than just a few higher spenders. More votes to determine game direction is a valuable enough reward for higher patrons - even if they don't seem to point it in a good direction (I can't be the only one who doesn't play the cafe managers scenes?).
