Recommending An annoyed fucking user's Tier List of Games with Actual Gameplay [150+ games rated]

It's (esp. visually) a good initial start to a game. Even while giving it every chance possible and amending that it's not finished in story, gameplay loop nor not feature complete, I don't think there is a single mechanic that is finished. After almost a decade.

It's a directionally confused torso employed as a bait for money-grubbing.

Seems damn near every VN here is already like that, it's been a while since I've booted up any game in here that doesn't end some story route with a WIP that's been "In Progress" on their Patreon for the last 5+ years

I'm sick of Visual Novels, Kinetic Novels, click-all-the-options-to-see-the-porn-games, RPG maker shovelware, and the likes. Hundreds of threads here and on reddit show that there is a demand for porn games that are actual, you know, fucking games. But theres no exhaustive list. Last night I got sufficiently pissed that I decided to make my own.

This list is going to be highly subjective. This list is going to be built up over time. This list will not feature generic ass 3d models (unless they are tied to good gameplay), generic ass japanese art that looks like it was photocopied from one of the other 4000 japanese shovelware games (unless its tied to good gameplay). This list will not attempt to be consistent in its distinction between visual novels/click to get the porn games and management games because its fluid as fuck, so I'm going by feel, if you don't like the way I included it fuck you, deal with it.

Update 2022-03-21: I will divide games into three categories, "platformers", "non-platformers" (because a lot of these are platformers), and "3D" (referring to actual 3D games, not 3D renders). I am lumping certain sidescrollers in with platformers. Do give the non-platformers category a go, there is some creative stuff in there. (Unfortunately not enough, though). Within these I will use the following tiers:

• S-Tier: These games have great gameplay and great porn.
• A-Tier: These games have either good gameplay and great porn, or great gameplay and good porn.
• B-Tier: These games are above average and enjoyable in either gameplay or porn.
• C-Tier: These games are average and mostly unremarkable, or they have some flaws that make a higher tier unjustifiable. Play these after you are done with the upper tiers.
• D-Tier: These games are below average in some respects, but you might still be able to draw some enjoyment from them. This usually means the gameplay is bad, since a bad art style can be compensated by good gameplay easier than the other way around.
• F-Tier: These games are garbage. Do not play.
• Other: These do not fit in the above scheme, usually because I have not played them and I do not want to rate games I have not played. They might also not fit the criteria of being either interesting or having good gameplay (i.e. they might be RPGmaker trash), but I still want to give my opinion on them. (Looking at you, Queen Opala.)

I will roughly attempt to order these within category by quality, but that is difficult. This ordering is more accurate in the higher tiers.
I would like to emphasize that this list is ultimately subjective. If you don't like it, go find another list.

Another user pointed out that I seem to prefer Female Protagonist / Male Domination games. This may be accurate. I tend to have long edging sessions when playing these, so I'm generally looking for something that gives me constant eye candy. I favor background characters with slutty clothes over long, drawn out sex scenes.

I also don't like goblins. They are not real monsters and make it unnecessarily difficult to find proper monster fucking.

Finally, a word of advice on how to filter out most of the garbage to find good games easier:

• Go to the latest updates page.
• In "Engine", either choose "Unity" (and maybe "Other"), or filter out RPGM and Renpy. There are sometimes good, fappable games (or even engaging VNs) made in Renpy, and rarely there are good RPGM games. But the vast majority of good porn games are made with Unity. (And some of the good Japnese games use their own weird engines, hence "Other").
• In Prefix "Other", filter out "VN". This is the single most important filter.
• In "Prefix: Status", filter out "Abandoned" and "On hold".
• Obviously, you can also use tags associated with gameplay to find proper games. "Platformer" and "Sidescroller" are obvious choices, but there is still a lot of shovelware. It is generally also worth excluding "3dcg".

Worth to mention Syahata's Bad Day missing in the thread, a 2D action side-scroller with high quality animated sprite art and animated game over CGs, game is so good it feels really short, the author of this one is now developing another game on 3D and the development logs are looking good.
Breed Laboratory is also completed and the creator is working on another game, I think it is worth checking out the completed version again. I liked the game because it kind of reminds me to Giant Insect Reserach Institute which I liked but I think it aged pretty badly gameplay wise, too much walking.

I have a particulair distaste for games made with Honey select and Koikatsu screenshots (Triple negative points when it is made with mostley basic assets and models) I have to confess that is started out like that but it just felt bad and started to look for my own style and i am working to improve my art.

A competent list with some "mediocre good" games on the level of Shantae. In order for porn games to evolve they need to understand the genre perfectly to combine. Platformers do not make for good porn games. It's like trying to play a FPS game as a RTS and vice versa. There's a new mold and entire architecture that needs to be remade from a studio with proper game designers and programmers in order to reinvent the genre. Else you might as well just mod-in some sex animations in an already popular platformer game.

I do remember back when Tycoon/management porn games weren't even a thing, neither autobattlers. Autobattlers just like wrestling games are 1/10th of a step in the right direction, but a far cry from how much has to be redesigned to support this theme into its own unique genre.

Yeah that kind of thinking would be amazing for popular games like The Coffin of Andy & Leyley , but bad as the core for it, if it was just that and nothing else.
And Megaman and Pokemon and many other IPs which are great games by themselves would benefit from mods.
Imagine IF Grand Theft Auto ONLY had the hot coffee minigame and nothing else. No Theft Auto.

I find it funny how everyone agrees even the supposed game devs yet they wouldn't change even an inch such as the much cried for cliche of "get defeated to get porn animations" as opposed to you know simply ... don't get defeated and still get porn animations as a girl protagonist? Yeah, I hate loosing to see lewds as well. Cause it's contradictory to the basic idea of a video game. You get rewarded for failing. To be fair, I get the idea where this comes from: "Oh no, the protagonist tripped, so she must be punished with sex!" It makes sense. But the player behind it is like "Hell yeah...". Sabotaging his own game.

Can't believe that such a simple thing like getting HP back through sex is such a mindblowing new invention. You know, making sex actually a part of the gameplay and NOT punishing the player for the whole reason he (or she) plays a porn game?

If the player is just interested in the gameplay, then the player would just play a normal game, cause I bet there is a way better normal game across every (or at least the most) porn game anyway, right?

I for one like it when the games are just a litle bit frustrating (Throw in a few anoying mini games or a hard boss or two in) It makes it more rewarding in the end. Clicking; next,next,next on a kinetic novel really doesn't do anyting for me.
(This is what i aspire to achieve in my games btw)

To your point, I think I've seen reward on loss executed best in roguelite games. Eventually you level up enough to be able to win every run, but you will lose a lot along the way so it never feels like you have to sandbag. The problem then becomes if the grind is worth it with how long each run is and the quality and variety of the rewards. Also, even the best executions of the idea still have the problem of the porn being separate from the gameplay since it's basically just a game over screen.
