Greetings!!!
This is my second news post on the Ancient Times game.
From the beginning, I was going to release a small in-game skit about the first game update, where everything would be narrated by the characters themselves. But after 20 pictures, it became clear that I was further delaying the release of the game update. Unfortunately, I will stick with this idea for the second game update, but for now this is just a news note.
So, what's in store for us in version 0.2 of the game:
The tentative release date for the update is set for early March. Due to the delayed release of the new version of the game, which was supposed to be released in February, I will be forced to release the update without the animated scenes, of which I think there will be a decent amount. And I will release the missing animations over time.
- Ati visits Lucius (the protagonist) after his first sleep in his uncle's villa;
- Traveling to the city of Enna, part 1:
- Getting to know the game's new characters;
- First encounter with the gods.
- Return to the villa:
- Dialogue with one of the gods of death;
- A conversation before bedtime in the dining room.
- A pleasant morning in the room;
- Dialogue with Publius;
- Dining-room;
- Conversation in the stable before going out into the city.
- Journey to the city of Enna part 2:
- An incident in the market-place;
- A visit to Edile.
- Conversation with Ati at home.
That's it for now. If you have any questions, then write, discord or under the post I published.

7 hours is too much to have a good workflow. Unless you are forced to work with CPU rendering (or falling back to CPU because of lack of vram), anything more than 20-30 mins is too slow to be effective. There is potentially a lot you can do to improve render times.I overestimated my strength, or rather my computer. Due to the fast rendering of images, I expected to be able to release the game update at the beginning of March. But a week later, it took over 7 hours to process 1 image, and I still have more than one to do.
links GDRIVE -МЕГА - PIXELDRAINwho updated the links and is it save from the current malware spreading in Renpy Games?
Thanks for the advice. now my process has returned to normal. I knew about switching rendering from the processor to the graphics card.7 hours is too much to have a good workflow. Come over to the https://f95zone.to/forums/dev-help.113/ subforum and ask for help, there are many experienced devs (or pretenders like me ) who can discuss and give advice. There are also many historic threads asking the similar questions over and over, it is a deep resource of solutions to game dev troubles, especially for renpy/daz.
I agree. While working on this scene, I realized that it turned out to be a bit gloomy. But since more than half of the work was done, I did not redo it. But in the future I will work better on lighting.Lovely game, but some of the S scenes are way too dark!
I won't get ahead of myself, but there is such a thought. But even if I implement it, this opportunity will not appear soon.if you want Rome to live on shouldn't a tag be under Planned Tags Pregnancy having kids.
