For the people who've never done an internet before, for the love of god please stop using off-the-shelf paid AV software, it hasn't been necessary or smart to do since windows 10 became a thing. You are here sailing the seven seas but still pay hundreds a year for useless nonsense.

I can't progress at all... it keeps blacking out at chapter 1-2.

Using Skip to Next Scene and Skip to Next Choice also has the same effect.

NEVERMIND: Movie Rendering is the problem. Auto and Media Foundation to be exact.

Translation is a little dodgy at times, but grammatically it's fine. There's a nice flowchart menu to help work through routes, too. Seems cool so far would recommend

Is this running like crap for anyone else? Not sure what's going on, but when I try to turn it on, it's super laggy with the text and screens taking about 5 seconds to transition to the next text box after freezing momentarily. Then it'll just start bugging out and making my screens fail on my PC til I force close it. I've never had a VN of all things stress my computer like this, so I'm not sure what's up with it.

I'm getting exactly the same error on HikariField 1.2 version and Jast 1.31a version here. Have been testing under VM (Win10 22h2 19045.4529), under normal conditions on a clean system set-up last night - same thing, both versions refuse to run and give the same error. Have anyone else experienced similar problems?

Intel 11th gen + GTX1080. I have a collection of over 200 VNs, and so far only this game outright refused to run.

Update 2025-Feb-10:
This is an odd one, apparently there's some functionality hidden in *.sig files, basically need to keep all of it. Previously, when I encountered *.sig in other VN, games worked perfectly fine without them. I playtested my entire collection before archiving it, I'd say out of 238 entries about 20-25 had *.sig files, and none of them broke due to deletion of those files.

Angelic Chaos REBOOT so far is the only game that has some hidden checks baked into *.sig files, that impacts not only performance, but the ability to launch the game at all.

Is there a chance that the split could be turned into more even parts? When I try and download the first and second split, the files just break. I think its something to do with the original size (non-compressed) of the parts being bigger than 5 gb, and then even after the compression to below 5 gb, the download sites just do not like the files, and they break. Idk if this is the reason, but it correlates to my problems.

Elaborate.
Says the download couldn't finish, or the system is busy. However, downloads work for any other file that isn't above 5gb uncompressed. It's not just this game's files either (tried different games as well before, still broke in the same fashion), and it also still doesn't work for the sites that, either don't have a limit (i.e. Mixdrop), or have a limit above 5gb (i.e. Pixeldrain)

Are you using FAT32? It can't be, right?
