Calling it now - Don is a professor at that university on the news and is kidnapping students, wiping their memories, implanting tech and attempting to train them to be his personal sex slaves since his wife left him. He kills em if they resist for too long, and moves onto the next student until he eventually finds the "perfect" one who'll submit.

God this is a fucked up but cool story lmao

Weeelll, you are right about the cool story, but I guess you never played the original game . No spoilers from me though. I guess you will just have to wait and see what happens :sneaky:. I will say, this version is MUCH better than the original IMO.

Why this non-sense "choices" that just break the flow.

Honestly, I cannot believe a dev could consider this user experience interesting.. it is just not normal.
Do you have examples?

There are hidden choices that do not appear in the choices menu if their criteria isn't met. Sometimes you will see a single option as a result.

In other cases they are commands that Don wants Amanda to do. Such as "kneel" or "crawl to the bedroom". These thematic "choices" are intentionally meant to break the flow of just mashing space bar. Don demands Amandas attention. And since you are Amanda, well, he demands attention from you too. Be a good girl and give him your full attention. There aren't a lot of these kind of "choices" in the game though.

I really do not understand this game.

Lot of clicks, no walkthrough.. but in reality not real catchy story and sex scenes are just averagely represented.

I wish I understand the DEV's idea behind this game

I disagree to those that want choices taken out (making it more like a kinetic novel, or a comic even). There are people that enjoy choices and not only important ones, but flavor ones as well.

eg a choice that might not change the plot, but will change what the MC is saying, or simply change her facial expression.

To sum it up, while some might enjoy seeing some renders while reading a story, others enjoy the interaction and in many cases even the illusion of the interaction.

Peace

I have reduced the number of single-choice clicks in v0.5.0 even further to only thematic ones.

There are many choices that affect the disposition between Amanda and Don, which affects the story over the course of multiple small choices. I.e. the sum of small decisions affects the story in big ways. In addition to those small decisions, there are bigger ones as well.

There is a walkthrough in itch.io for the original Twine version of the game, which is accurate for the renpy version too (although might be hard to follow).

If anyone wants to make a proper walkthrough then please, by all means :)

Just matter of curiosity, if all those "choices" are so important for you, why do not add the effect of the choice in the text of the choice itself?

I mean what is called user-experience is the difference from success and mediocrity I think.

I don't like it when games show the effects of options. So I did not put them in my game either :D

I have the Stats-page for those who care about tracking those things, but the game can be (and is intended to be) enjoyed by being in the moment and not worrying about the underlying stats-system.
