Hopefully not, because they should wait for the bug-fixed version to be released in a few days time

Often the very people who are the most impatient to play, are the ones who make the most noise if there are bugs which then prevent you from playing. So it's much better, to wait a few days, when most of the bugs are fixed. That's not being selfish, that's just being sensible.
Just because you don't get bugs, doesn't mean that many other people won't. It often depends on what choices you made through the game, the version of the operating system you're using and occasionally just random bad luck. If you wait for the beta version, when most bugs have been fixed, the chance of these things happening, is massively reduced.

Obviously, if you use the saves provided, than you have much less chance of issues, than if you don't. You are supposed to be able to use old saves in this game, it's just that the phone function often prevents it, in the sandbox version. This is because it was initially poorly implemented, which the Devs have openly admitted, and so far they haven't found a workable solution for it. Unfortunately, the saves provided by the Devs with each update, don't cover all of the possibilities in the game. They just allow you to access all the new content. But that means you can't customise your playthrough, which is an important aspect of the game, for a lot of people.
At the moment, the only way around this, is the VN version. Because this doesn't have the phone function, and therefore old saves usually work.

It seems simple enough to me, as well.
Some folks on here want to play the beta version, but you and your pal quite obviously have your own little agenda in actively trying to discourage anyone from sharing it here.
And just to show that I'm not going to be intimidated by you, or your best mate, here's the link for anybody that wants it.
Just to clarify, I'm not asking , or 'forcing' ANYBODY to either play, or compress it.

I for one very much appreciate the link and your comment. If people want to play specific versions and someone has that version why shouldn't people be able to play it. Its outrageous to me if anyone is trying to restrict what people want to do as long as it doesn't hurt that person. If people know the version is beta or even alpha KNOWING there will be bugs and still want to play it, leave them THE F*** alone so they can.

For me, it's just bullying and inimidation...Plain and simple.
You could be waiting a while? The last two updates, it's been nearly 3 weeks after the VN version was released, before anyone provided links for it.
The problem is, the VN version is often released a day or so after, the bug-fixed beta version. And I'm guessing whoever provides the links for that, then disappears for a few weeks, having already played the update. Maybe you'll get lucky this time, and someone will provide the link immediately? But I wouldn't bet on it.

Whoever provides the link, is doing it purely as a favour to everyone else, who isn't a patron. So if anyone is being outrageous, it's you, for suggesting that they're unfairly restricting your ability to play the game earlier. If someone wants to release it earlier they will, regardless of what you, me or anyone else says. If they don't, it's either because they don't agree with you or they're on a lower patreon tier ( than the $25 dollar or more tier, that gives you access to the earliest release).
If this was so important to you, why would you wait over 16 hours to release the link? You made your first post regarding this last night, when you claimed to have played the update without any bugs. If you'd released it then, this morning's difference of opinion would probably never have happened.
From my perspective, I can't even play the sandbox version at all, because of a Windows 11 bug. So an early release of that, makes no difference to me. I always have to wait for the VN version now. But when I could play it. It was hugely irritating to download the full version, and then part way through the update find I couldn't go any further, because the early release version had some game-breaking bug. That's why I advise people to wait for the bug-fixed version, and hope that whoever releases the links here does the same. It's not an attempt to restrict people, but simply to make their game playing experience more enjoyable. Because I am very invested in this game, and I want other people to like it, as much as I do.
um, what the F are you even saying? I stated that if people are trying to restrict who plays what version that they should stop. It has nothing to do with Patreon or not, it has to do with PEOPLE on the FORUM trying to tell OTHER PEOPLE what they can and can't do. Please learn to use your brain and not attack people for something they did not do or say.
How is anybody disagreeing with you, restricting you at all? The only person 'restricting' you, is whoever provides the links.Which in this case, ironically turned out to be the person you were initially agreeing with. If anyone was 'restricting' you, it was him. Because he could have provided those links last night, if he'd wanted to.
All I was doing, was suggesting you wait until the bug-fixed version is released. That's not restricting anybody. It's just giving them sensible advice. Which you can choose to ignore, and it won't bother me at all.

as for the scenes, in my personal opinion (even though nobody asked for it) this was the weakest of all damn... guess i'll wait for another few months to have some quality ones.

Again, since it seems not to have connected, I'm talking about those people who share an Alpha version of a game. Everyone knows, even you, that Alpha versions have beaucoup bugs. That's why the devs give first crack at testing to some of their supporters.
It's obvious that you're being gauche. People can share if they want, hell, I wish that More would be willing BUT, share something that's more closer to a finished product and not something that's faulty. It's like getting a demo car from a factory that hasn't had safety features tested. A person is enamored with the company that makes the car, buys it privately, wrecks it, then complain about safety features. That's insanity.
