I'm beginning to have really mixed feelings about this game. Anna & Andrew started out as very believable characters. O. K., so Andrew was a bit one-dimensional but that didn't really matter in a game focussed on Anna. He was a "standard" boyfriend. Yes, he had his faults but don't we all. As a previous poster has noted, Anna could keep her secrets yet still have him as one her life's anchors & someone who, in a way, was like an emotional insurance policy.
Now both people have changed their personalities beyond recognition. Anna is promiscuous to a point where the danger of contracting an STD must be very high, particularly in the light of some of the partners she has encountered. She has no preferred modus operandi, except perhaps an addiction to blowjobs. (How many more times will we be treated to the sight of her face covered in cum?) As for the blackmailing & coercion, she always manages to look surprised rather than fearful, disgusted, or whatever. Alright, she secretly enjoys most of it, I get that, but still..... Jeremy, Ashley, Patrick, just another day's work, wtf?? Andrew has gone from understandable jealousy to what...? To paraphrase Tina Turner, "We don't need another cuckold."
I liked the bar & it's associates/employees/customers. These days, however, viewer credulity has been stretched to breaking point. If the events of the recent update became public knowledge, (& they already are, surely), then at the very least the place would be picketed by religious fundamentalists, though more likely would be the action of local authorities to close it down, no matter how well-connected the owner. Political kudos awaits whoever helms this activity.
What's needed to stop this game becoming another sprawling shag-fest is a certain amount of self-control from the protagonists combined with an injection of realism. Good fiction is based in reality, unless it's SF or Sword & Sorcery. I still like this game but am hoping that the characters can get their believability back. Right now, that's a tall order.
