You're stats which supposedly show a drop in support for Deep, are misleading. There are approximately 200 patrons who only subscribe when an update is imminent. As soon as they have played an update, they immediately unsubscribe, so they don't have to pay for the months when no content is released. This has been the case for years and is definitely nothing new. There is a core of 1000 patrons who always subscribe no matter what. Before Chapter 2, this core was about 900. So since then core patronage has increased 10%. So I'm afraid you're just seeing what you want to see on this. There is no problem caused by this short game or any other update. The people who love this game don't have a problem with it. Sure, from time to time, some people get angry with something in the game and stop playing. But they represent a tiny minority and are offset by new patrons.

As I tried to explain, I didn't manipulate anybody. My idea for having a short novel about Anna's first time, came up during a discussion on Discord in November. A few of us were talking about the previous short novels, and it was suggested by someone else that we were overdue for another one. A couple of ideas were suggested, and my idea was Anna losing her virginity. Deep got involved and said he thought having a new short novel was a good idea. I'm guessing him an d Awake we're already thinking about it anyway. Shortly after that he announced a poll, that included options suggested during the discussion, of which mine was one. Now I couldn't have manipulated any of the patrons during the poll, even if I had wanted to. Because before the poll was started. I lost my internet connection because of a fire in my apartment building, which kept me offline through most of December. By the the time I got back online, the poll had already been concluded and my suggestion won by 1 vote. So this idea, that I somehow persuaded patrons to push my agenda, is totally false. To be quite honest, when we were talking about it on Discord. I wasn't particularly interested about Deep making another short novel, that was entirely his own impulse. Personally, I prefer the main game. Because the Anna in the main game, is the one I'm really interested in. So if I was really pushing any agenda, it definitely wouldn't be to create more short novels. But I recognise that some patrons are really interested in continuing with them from time to time, so I for one am not going to make a big deal about it. You might not like them at all, and I might be ambivalent about them, but it's not just about what you or I want, but about what everyone else wants. Because the patrons are the people who keep this game going. And making fatuous statements about them all being clueless because they have a different opinion to you, is not only unhelpful but pretty arrogant as well.

As far as my comments on this game are concerned. Everybody who knows about me, knows I am totally obsessed with this game. It's my favourite game, I am a complete fangirl. So yeah, if anyone criticises it in anyway, I am going to respond. Deep will not come onto this site to defend his game, so I do it for him. Not because he's ever asked me to, but because I want to. Because I fucking love it! This game isn't perfect, nobody is claiming that. Sometimes the Devs make mistakes and updates don't live up to expectations, but I know that they both try so hard to make this game as good as they can and nobody is more passionate about trying to get things right, than they are. And that's why I will always be on their side.

If you want to believe that, then who am I to stop you? As I've explained, the graph doesn't show what you think it does. And just repeating that it does, doesn't make it so.

You say Dead Andrew= Dead game, as if I'm supporting the removal of Andrew from the game. I've never wanted Andrew to be removed from the game, but there are plenty of other Patrons who hate him so much, they want him to be gone as soon as possible. Which is their opinion and their right to voice. Just like you have the right to voice the opposite opinion. My favoured choice is for Anna to dump Andrew ( eventually). But I still want him in the game. The whole scenario where he got shot and ended up in a coma, was not what I wanted at all ( and wasn't Deeps either for that matter). Unfortunately he made Andrew into such a pathetic character and Anna into such an adored one. That most patrons couldn't stand him anymore, so he changed Andrew's status in the game, to try to appease people. But since this is essentially a game where Anna cheats on her boyfriend, Deep felt Andrew had to stay on, at least in some capacity.

I don't think Deep and Awake are planning to have Anna dump Andrew immediately after their upcoming discussion. I think we may see Anna trying to make a final decision for a week or two, or she'll make the decision but won't tell him until he's recovered more from his operation. And a couple of weeks of game time, is multiple updates and several years away. So technically he'll still be her boyfriend for some time to come yet. I'm basing this on what Deep has said about Andrew in the past and the fact they still plan for Andrew to have a renaissance route, that will see him and Anna get an ending together.

I also think it's a bit insulting to Deep himself to insinuate that I have undue influence over him. The fact is, I have very little influence over him. I don't know him personally, and I don't even know his real name or what nationality he is. We just talk together online, just like a lot of his other patrons do. I've repeated all the content in the game, on many many occasions and thus I have an extensive knowledge of it, and have formed an insight into it, that most other players don't have. And Deep acknowledges that. But that doesn't mean that I can make him do something he doesn't want to do, nor would I ever want to. At the end of the day it's his creation, and it follows the path he wants it to. Even Awake who is his co-developer doesn't have that kind of influence. So you couldn't be further from the truth with that.

Alright let's look at that graph you keep mentioning. Between February and March there was an increase of 200 patrons. You do see it going up don't you? That was during the period when the Devs were suggesting the short novel was going to be released, and so all those occasional patrons who only subscribe when they think there's going to be new content, did exactly what you'd expect them to do, and we got a temporary surge in patrons. And then when they'd downloaded the content, they immediately stopped subscribing, as they always do. Leading to a precipitous drop in patrons, which if you were trying to push some agenda like you are, could be made to look like they all left for some other reason, if you don't look to closely at the stats. It's not rocket science. This happens every time there is an update of the game. But if you want to carry on believing otherwise, be my guest.

I honestly wish I had the power that you claim I do. Because then I could make all the games I like, follow the path I would like them to. But unfortunately I don't possess that power at all. And to be quite honest, influencing the patrons wouldn't have the desired effect anyway, because the patrons can't make Anna the way I want her to be. Only Deep himself can do that. And I have too much respect for his creation to try and manipulate him. Which I don't believe I could anyway. Fortunately, the Devs pretty much want to take the game in the direction that I would like it to go. So even if by some miracle I could, why would I want to?

I guarantee that when the next update is released it will be back up to approximately 1200. Its been fluctuating between 900 and 1200 for years now. It doesn't have anything to do with this short novel, but simply reflects the personal finances of some of the patrons.

I get that you don't like the short novel and you're definitely not alone in that. I thought it was ok, but definitely not the best of them. Obviously it was always going to be disappointing from the sexual standpoint, because it was her first time, and surprise surprise her first time wasn't a naughty threesome or a gangbang, or didn't involve her having incestuous sex with her grandfather. It was just a normal vanilla experience with an ordinary albeit hot guy, which is what you would expect for the somewhat nerdy and naive country girl that Anna is in this short novel. I think making it anything else would have been ludicrous. And now it's done, we don't need to return to it ( not that the Devs ever will, they've already moved on to the next update of the main game). For better or worse, Anna's First Time is done and dusted, and you just have to accept that.

So... out of mild curiosity decided to check these statistics. And this is yet again the good old case of choosing the perfect values to push own agenda with some graph by cutting out the graph at perfect time frame and also showing the version, which has the min value in hundreds, so the jumps seem more dramatic visually.



This is the situation for the past year... and honestly seems pretty stable.


Or if we really want to watch this version, where the minimum value starts from 840 , then honestly the trend of patreons cancelling around updates is pretty regular as Zara pointed out.

Okay, true. Should have double checked it myself. But at least for the 2 last major releases, after the release for highest tier patreon, the number of patreons goes up until it is out for lowest tier patreons and then it falls again. While for the current small update, it barely started going up and just ended up losing some patreons instead. Though, I don't think the loss is significant enough.

It seems to me that you don't quite get the point or you just pretend you don't. People who voted for the first time anna expected to see more than just a standard vanilla story. Honestly, if I had known that this short novel would be so boring I would have voted for a fantasy or cyberpunk story with anna. And Anna's first time could have been shown as a flashback in the main story, because what we saw in the end in the short novel was not worth the time (this is my subjective opinion)

because the very wanted scenes and the story progression is stuck since the 2 major release...
the most wanted scenes which are able to generate an high patreon increasing in my opinion are
1) The Bar gangbang and more extreme "glory-hole" scene with Anna and strangers or Bar clients without forgettin the V.I.P club on the rear of the Bar
2) Andrew alive where he asking to Anna that he had a dream or better a nightmare about he saw Anna fucking his father while he was in a coma... and Anna reassures him: "it was just a bad dream, my love"
3) High Class hostess for rich businessmen and more Porn Movies
4) for the "Jeremy live Path" users (like me) more hard SM and bondage scenes where Jeremy also invites some lenders to get major contracts for his company or somthing similar

...going back to the graphs i used 6 months ... it is not so important because the average is the same... but remain almost stable is not the same of increasing them

...and you can see that in October 2022 there was the biggest peak... i don't remember exactly which version it was.
EDIT: AFTER CHECKING THE VERSION WAS THE 0.97
but it's also true that the last 2 releases have been disappointing because people always expect more extreme scenes from Anna... it seems to me that someone wants to slow down the story progression... but Anna's audience is only waiting for extreme sex scenes.. and when this does not happen the disappointment be transmitted in the number of supporters.
This time there was a lot of expectation provably created by the poll and the I think also for enthusiastic Zara comments
