You know it's not a bad idea but I hope that if there is a remake of the first part DeepSleep will keep the model of Anna from the first part, I don't really like what happened to Anna in the second part, she looks much older and less sexy to my taste, I still can't understand what's wrong, her new clothes her new hairstyle or her behavior.

you want another no-sense prequel like the dumb "The First Time" short novel that caused more than 4 months delay of the main story progression and was posted in F95 in the main story thread to hide the fact that the latest version of Anna Exciting Affections (v.0.97) is dated November and was fixed with 97.1 for bugs in December 2022.
The next update won't be ready before July/August if everything goes smooth and without major bugs

CH1 is perfect as is and all the success of Deepsleep is based on the first chapter of this great story ... in fact there are about 1000 fixed paying patreon supporters since 2019 which was the year of his great success... helped in part by osmcuser132 who created the unofficial RenPy version in 2019
That is also why the dev decided to start CH2 using RenPy engine instead the RPGM

All the stable success came with the VN version of the CH1

Deep has to be very careful not to lose his solid fan base about 1000 who always support without drop him in the next month after the release
I raccomend him do not push is luck
There are about 200 that support him only when the release is out (1 month every 5/6 months).... if this kind of supporters grows at the expense of those 1000 loyalists that never drops him he could lose much more than he managed to get with the great first chapter of the Anna saga.
Never change the winning story at the risk of losing more than you could hypothetically gain.

I would recommend playing the rpg version and the second part also in the open-world version, whoever said what, but so immersion is much more, unless of course you have enough time and patience. As for the short novels, they are like additions to the main story, little stories from Anna's past, I recommend playing them if you get tired of the main game

It seems to me that you don't quite get the point or you just pretend you don't. People who voted for the first time anna expected to see more than just a standard vanilla story. Honestly, if I had known that this short novel would be so boring I would have voted for a fantasy or cyberpunk story with anna. And Anna's first time could have been shown as a flashback in the main story, because what we saw in the end in the short novel was not worth the time (this is my subjective opinion)

No, you're the one who isn't getting the point. Before the events of Hard Exam, Anna has never had anything but vanilla sex. That's the clear insinuation in that short novel. When Anna is blackmailed by Mr Thompson in Hard Exam, that's the first time anything like that has ever happened to her. So regardless of what some patrons might have thought they were voting for. The fact is by choosing Anna's First Time they were only voting for her to have vanilla sex. Because that's all it ever could have been.

Most of them are probably on the $5 tier, which means they would have to wait 2 weeks after release, to get access to the update. I guess after seeing that the short novel didn't have the content they wanted, a lot of them decided to cancel before the $5 tier became available, and that's why you get such a precipitous drop after 2-3 days. But that is in no way an indication of a fall in patrons because of the short novel, because those people would have left anyway 2-3 weeks later, when the update was made available for $5 tier patrons, regardless of how good the short novel was. Even if it had been brilliant there still would have been a drop off of about 200 patrons, because these people always leave after they've played the content.

Deep has made it clear many times, that that will never happen. So you don't have to worry. There is a decent renpy remake of Chapter 1 available, so there is literally no point anyway.

I knew you'd say that, you don't seem to understand what people wanted to see or you don't care, you're looking for a lot of logic in a pornographic game and relying on a short story that half the players probably missed, this game is full of illogical moments and no one cares, so why should people who pay money and vote for a product get vanilla crap that only disappoints. I'm not a fan of incest and I wouldn't want to see the uncle fucking Anna or anything like that, but at least a few hot moments could have been added. As for blackmail, it's the main reason why many players play this game and I don't see anything wrong with it.
