No problem. Once players know the deal with Luxee and this game, it'll stop happening. Right now, it's new and still shocking to some, but it needs to be mentioned in the original post that the game is on hold, not abandoned.

My work is done here then. I'm not gonna get too serious and talk about the issue, I think it's obvious as a futa/trans dev with supporters who are as well where I stand on that issue. The main thing for some people I think is that it was all supposed to be avoidable content, which is kind of standard for that kind of thing and what was promised by Luxee. Making the character the central love interest and having so many paths go through Nea complicates things, and I seem to recall that you broke early versions of the game if you avoided Nea altogether. I could very well be remembering that wrong though. It was impossible to progress unless Nea was involved. If you look at Luxee's website, the mom is actually the promoted character in some places, which maybe led some people to expect a different focus as well had they not known the history for the game. We all knew Nea would be in it, but I don't think it's something that actually gets advertised that much other than Nea's picture on some banners.

The "friendship" route with Nea also involves catching her masturbating with the MC's underwear, which may have been more than people expected to see when they thought the trans content was optional. It's like a game with optional incest content yet you walk in on your sister masturbating in your bed moaning your name before opting into that action. It wasn't a huge deal for me, but at the same time the entire scene was awkward in itself. I guess I never really saw girls as being obsessed with men's dirty underwear. Being a wearer of said underwear, I'd stay away from even my own once I take it off. Not being female myself but trying to extrapolate female behavior from what little I know about them, it would have made more sense to me for Nea to stumble across a photo of the MC in swim trunks or something while he was out, or just crawl into his bed or put on a shirt he had worn earlier before masturbating. And then the scene kind of leads into more awkwardness and Nea's suicide if you choose just to be friends.

I also wish the questions had been clearer. I kind of stared at them when they came up, and they just seemed worded... weird. Unclearly. Certainly it didn't imply there's be bad stuff if you picked the friendship route at the end. It just said Nea wouldn't be in love with you anymore. All we really needed were "I love Nea" and "I want to stay just friends" as options, and the friends one not lead to suicide unless that's just unavoidable on any route or the MC messed up in a big way. Although the way the questions were worded, I'm still not sure if we were opting into sex with one of the choices or if there was going to be a third "friendship" question further down the road.

Personally, right now I'm interested to see how Luxee deals with Nea's disappearance from the game. He can't just skip the scenes of other LIs where she should appear, because while I think that he did it before, now those scenes necessarily have to be done without Nea (because she is... you know).

Yeah I'm curious to see who at school talks about it or whether the father approaches him or any of the other girls the MC knows, other than that, it'll be a more direct way to get what I want, so that's a plus, and that's all I care about.

Last time Luxee was on here was when apartment 96 first appeared and they stated that the name was just a coincidence. Even though for the first 3 or so updates apartment 96 always seemed to come out just hours or so before apartment 69 did. Apartment 96 is also onhold. Not sure when if it went onhold after v0-06 was done or if it was before that.

It typically doesn't unless it drives a significant amount of the traffic away from his pay sites, then it becomes a financial threat to the continued development of the game due to dwindling traffic. Remember that games like this are developed off of subscriptions that pay monthly, not a lump sum budget of money they can access at any point for development purposes, so if those subscriptions drop, so does funding for the game, so does the morale of the developer, and so does the ability for the game to continue.

But this doesn't change the fact that developers who don't participate in the forum don't know that the game appears as abandoned and that it doesn't affect their decisions at all.

I chose the one I thought would be just us as friends, my Nea is now a splatter on the ground all because the choice was love or death instead of love or friends.

It's what it is, and we'll see how Luxee deals with it.

It will be unfortunate if I have to make the former my decision as this is currently in my top 15 games, but it would be what must be done if the suicide is not resolved in a way that actually makes sense or doesn't disappear entirely.

It seems the more main characters are getting the limelight. Tess right now seems to be left broken and alone in the farthest corner of the house wallowing in her misery pining for her older brother.

I don't think most subscribers care. I subscribe to Patreon and other places for some games, and really the tags here don't bother me in the least. I'd be more concerned at the fact that the Dev isn't saying anything on the particular site that I subscribe to. I don't care if they have a Discord. I'm not going to join that for a porn game just to get updates. That's the entire reason I send in my money to Patreon. I tried to sign up for a Dev's discord once, for the hell of it, and it was a nightmare of sign up, link this account to Patreon, then email the dev to verified, then here's umpteen channels. Dude, I don't have time for that. Post stuff on Patreon, even if it's just a quick update. That way I get an email on it.

There's a lot of characters in the game, many of which haven't gotten much attention yet. Even though people on this forum know the focus of the game is Nea, others could be forgiven for thinking it's an incest game, given there's three family members and the mom is advertised on the Dev's website versus other characters. At least last I checked. It also starts off like a regular incest game as well.

I will continue playing as long as I don't see a result along the lines of the suicide remaining as is, or worse, Luxee doubling down on it.

I think that's why I'm anxious about 0.07, to see what happens after the Look Out Below. If it's kept in-game as canon, then it's an obstacle out of the way and I can enjoy the game for what it's for and what it could be.

As a screenshot collector, if the character remains in the game and I keep on ignoring, I might miss screenshots of other characters that are actually important to me, so I'm hoping for the former actually sticking around and going forward with that choice so there's less one-character centralization
