RPGM - Completed - Apostle [v1.0.3] [kamichichi/Kagura Games]

Definitely in my top 10 h-games. The plot is amazingly deep and I was actually enthralled reading the story. The game has amazing replayability as you have to replay the game to get scenes that you'll miss. A huge cast of big-titted characters, each with their own unique personality and playstyle. The fighting is amazing and there's different builds to cater your playstyle. Also the hardest difficulty brings this game to Dark Souls diffiuculty lol, definitely a fun challenge!

Story: Mediocre, for the most part, but does have its moments, especially with some of the dates(looking at you, Konoha and Ritsuka S2). It is painfully linear, though, with the main girls barely changing their dialogue in accordance to what "route" you're on, except for mayb the harem route, which is ng+ only anyways.
Gameplay: Decent enough. Best part was exploiting the Varia and Not so dead illuminas to maximize chances of survival. MC can also solos a lot of stuff with his dodge and a faster than light illumina. Also low how instant death is effective throughout 80% of the game's bosses. Hilarity ensues.
Visuals/ero: Game uses public assets for its enemies, at least for the most part. Sex scenes are cute enough, although, I wish there were more of them with the individual girls, but that's what you get when you have this many female characters.

Man, I was so hyped when I started the game: Beautiful artwork, custom tilesets, an actual great lore and worldbuilding. I said to myself: How can this game be around since 2019 and "only" have 40 reviews? This must be a masterpiece! Rarely do I see such a quality in adult games.

But shortly after the great beginning I found out.

First of all, the whole game design in terms of how you move through the world is unnecessarily annoying. Every day you got some "WP" (walking points) that allow you to trigger events with girls. You shortly run out of these points and the only way to refill them is to do boring side-quests.

This could be getting diet pills for a classmate or finding books for an old man. Stuff that really adds 0 value to the game itself.

But the questlog itself is useless too. For instance, when I got the diet pill quest it told me that I have to buy them from a guy in city x. Shortly after I vaguely remembered the name, so I went into the questlog, but it didn't state which city that NPC is in. It only said "get diet pills from [NPC Name]".

Why is there a questlog in the first place at all, if you don't use it to contain important informations?

Furthermore, in order to get a hint what you could do next, you have to visit a fortuneteller in a city at a specific time. Yes, each time. Why not add a hint system to the phone or the menu?

But stay with me: The fortuneteller was broken actually. He said I'd have to do something in the arcade - I did. Coming back to him, he still told me to go there, but I actually already finished that event there.

So I ran aimlessly through the world and spent my last WP to trigger an event with one of the girls. Turns out, this started a story event. Apparently you have to trigger a certain amount of open world events to progress with the main story. Unfortunatley, the game doesn't explain this at all.

Next thing is, the battle/group system. You've got yourself + roughly 7-8 girls that fight with you. And you have to fucking manage all of them! You need to equip them and skill them, and there are many skills. Every 4-5 random fights someone levels up, which means you'll see yourself every few minutes heading back to the upgrade menu and see who needs to learn new skills and which.

This is hyper stressful, especially for a lewd game where great story and game design is appreciated, but shouldn't drag the attention away from the actual lewd stuff. And that's another problem here: Fights are waaay to long against bosses, they're super strong. There is also tons of annoying stuff such as random enemies poisoning your members so that you have to use antidote all the time after fights, unless you don't want them to die away while you walk through the world.

The lewd scenes are very few compared to the actual game, you can play for 2-3 hours without seeing even a single lewd scene, so this game has a bad gameplay:lewd ratio.

And they aren't even really animated, more like showing different pictures or really very minor details, they could've put more effort into this, especially since the artist is obviously highly skilled.

Last but not least which made me stop playing the game is that yesterday, after being 2-3 hours just doing random open world stuff without anything making it worthwhile (cuz the game forces you to do so), I was thrown into two dungeons right after another without anything cool inbetween. And a dungeon can take half an hour or longer with a very hard bossfight in the end (even on the easiest difficulty).

The last dungeon map was very confusing with 10 different entrances, so that you lose track at some point. And while you walk around the whole map again to figure out where it continues, you get dragged into random fights every few steps.

So yeah. The game technically could've been one of the best RPG Maker lewd games out there. Easily! With just some clever game design and mechanic tweaking, a better lewd:gameplay ratio and animations.

It makes me truly sad to discover a game that has such a nice start and huge potential but then turns out to be very boring and bloated with pointless stuff.

THIS GAME IS VERY VERY VERY WORTH IT AND MUST BE PLAYED

In my opinion, the game was enjoyable. The story was decent, albeit somewhat generic, but that didn't necessarily detract from the experience. I particularly appreciated the side characters, although the combat itself wasn't anything remarkable.

However, the narrative revolving around the powers and monsters was fantastic, especially with the introduction of Illuminas, which I found to be a unique element.

The romance aspect with the protagonist was quite easy, but I don't necessarily view that as a negative. The quests provided a sufficient level of difficulty and were still additional Mehcinacs being introduced even after Chapters 1 and 2, which I considered to be a bonus.

The best series Kagura has this, and the sequel is fantastic: solid RPGs and good H-games. No weird fetishes gumming up the game and the story is really well told with an interesting set of twists.

Each character feels like they have a back story and their own concerns and lives that don't revolve around sex or the MC. The MC's desire to stick his nose in people's business isn't annoying at all but more endearing and understabale after what happened to his friends and town.

This game is absolutely amazing.
I don't understand why a couple of one star review but this game is a well polished eroge RPG.

The storyline is good, amazing graphic,good gameplay and best of all a lot of ladies with big tits. The bunch of cast is amazing and there's also a decent amount of replay value as there's different scene from other path.

Overall i highly recomend this game, support these people if possible.

What you will love of this game is the art and thats it, the gameplay is like any other RPG, you walk around and get a random encounter with the same enemies, some pretty overpowered so you have to waste hours to level up or cheat. The story could be really good but looks rushed, when all start to get interesting ends.
There are some sex scenes with NPCs that aren't your companions but looks like they are locked behind some activity or something that I couldn't find after playing it 3 times.
The first time you play, you can romance just one girl and this is something the game never explaint you, you "farm" love points with the girls but the time is limited and so the points too, if you tried to get more than one girl in the first playthough you will end the game alone because no one cares for you enough. Then you can play a New Game+ and import everything you want and farm points again, if you have all the hearts with every girl you will unlock the harem ending.
The game gives you an stone or something so you skip the battles but still the game starts to feel long because you have to do everything again and again like 6 times more to see the romance all the girls.

This game is bad in almost everything.

Most of lusty content is stupidly locked, maybe it's for game+, but I doubt I can survive through another run of this awful gameplay.
Pretty weird mechanics, cannot say they are bad, but game does not give you much info and hints to utilize those properly. 1 battle you can ab, next one enemy is just wiping the ground with your face. In a very same megiddo. Or mobs are all lame, but the boss has a mechanic which ruins you with 0 chance to win. And you, again, wasting your time to find out why is it so obviously biased.

It has a somewhat decent story, though the way it's built is extremely boring and player-unfriendly - game gets to its end when you barely started to get into the process to reach something better than some very seldom, mostly just appetizer H scenes.

So, as a game, it's practically zero (despite all the great efforts of devs to make it work!). Game process is so ugly and overloaded with poorly done mechanices that you will be screaming from annoyance most of the time you play through.

I'm adding 1* for extremely amazing and lusty art/sex scenes, and one more to respect people's work to deliver this to us in non-moonspeak. But seriously, 2* is pretty generous for the game this twisted.

I hope Rebellion has much more to offer, because in this one authors are practically wasting such an amazing artwork for surprisingly unpleasant experience...

Game sets you up like it's second coming of cyberpunk, and then best scene in entire game.

You protagonist railing some chick with the most boring romantic cringe out of place, vomit inducing melodic background elevator music you'll ever experience in your entire fucking life.

If you don't rage quit by that point, I congratulate you. You are superior being to me.

EDIT- Also expect asset recycle from past games. EVERYWHERE and in EACH SCENE.

After playing this game for 8 hours, gonna give final impression.
If I could give it a zero. I'd would.

Huge ass world, where you walk around with tons of pointless NPCs and places that are there for the sake of being there. Alot of maps don't have reason to exist other for transition, like subway map. But hey, immersion, am I right?
Speaking of immersion, get ready to be bamboozled by the background music. Dystopian cyberpunk city with elevator music.

Story and setting is interesting, has potential , but fails miserably. You'll end up CTRL everything.

Speaking of CTRL. If you do that while talking with random NPCs in order to get stupid and pointless rewards (and one important thing call WP which you use to basically fill hearts with main story girls, which on it's on, is limited), and accidentally skip reading what you suppose to do. WELL GOOD LUCK, you just softlock your ass. I pray your save wasn't that far away.

Everything else is standard RPGmaker game with custom made UI for extra fancy and hollow experience.

Hentai game this one. Im gonna be honest with you. BEFORE PLAYING THIS GAME. Just check gallery. And be AMAZED. YES! ALL scenes are there, all 20 of them locked ofc.. And if you want to grind for 30 hours playing this boring bloated carcass with cooking mini game. Be my guess.
AND for final coup de coeur. You have 10 girls with scenes there from past kagura games shoved in to fill in that empty void this trash has.

I finished the game, finally! I really liked the beginning and middle of the game, but the end... Just help.

To put it simply, Apostle is very good and very complete, you can do (almost) whatever you want, there are a lot of endearing characters with whom you can build relationships and a world that requires a lot of exploration. But also where, Apostle has a huge weak point, it's the fightings, there's an IMMENSITY of it, if I put that in bold red and capital letters, it's not for nothing, don't think that you can do it in a straight line, it's impossible. I would have liked that the end show the number of fights, I think to be around 500, despite that, the game sent me a big punch in the face to tell me that I still had to farm a lot of fights to get the ending... So I cheated, I advise you to do like me, if you just want to finish the game and you're stuffed with fights, download RPG Maker MV Cheat Menu plugin.

As for the story, it's quite classic of what you find in JRPGs, that's not all but I'll leave you, I'm going to the sequel in hope that it's much better! 4/5

Another example of a high effort game made by i think more than one developer, but it really is boring in every way

Ireally tried to follow the story for an hour or two through enourmous amount of unbelievably long cut scenes before holding ctrl

Instead of letting you explore the world or focus on something, game bombards you with codex entries, boring information about the world and female characters who all look similar to each other.

Every girl is the same model with laughably out of proportion huge breast (and it is not bad for a h game, but when the plot tries to be serious in the same time it is ridicilous)

Sex scenes are incredibly boring vanilla and they appear out of nowhere and ends with nothing

Story wise its like one giant anime cliché which is pretty bad but even worse are the parts that could be right out of a kids cartoon(friendship/teamwork island), apart from that the story is very basic as in good guy meets other good guys they fight bad guys with no twists or turns its really that simple.

While the story is a let down the characters are a bigger let down, first off they dont act like you would expect people in that type of situation to, yes its an adult game so of course its not going to be completly realistic but the characters seriousness should at least match the seriousness of the story(given the losses the cast suffer they dont morn at all instead they are always chearful), and then there are the parts where the characters act like they could be right out of a cheezy porn film(titfucking is a totally standard medical procedure right?).

Also sadly you have no control not only over who the MC has sex with outside the main girls which for a RPG game where sex is not required(i.e. he dosent power up through sex or something like that) it is quite poor but even worse is the lack of story options, the story cant be directed so the options are choose the girl ones only and also several times it will use the belief that rape is ok as long as the body gets aroused(a big turn off for me).

Add to this a very very small amount of sex scenes for a game this long and it barely deserves 1 star.

The game is really average... Nothing more unfortunally.
The gameplay part is really good, 8 out of 10 I'll say but the H scenes? I really expected a lot more, there's not that much scenes and these are not even that good you know, you have something like 2 scenes per character and that's it.

legit! This game is very well done that makes me forget that I was here for the absurdly huge jugs (For real tho, small tidy is like a rare speciment in this game).

The plot is very solid (No I'm not talking about the horny kind of plot), the comedy is good and the sad moment can hit you right in your home complimented with an awesome pick of backsound.

I finished my 1st playthrough for -+ 40hrs of gameplay, yes! I said 40hrs for 1 playtrough! It usually annoy me for an H-Rpg to take that long, I know I've said it before but this game is just A-mazing!

It kinda hard at first, but don't worry it'll gradually became easier (or is it?), especially after you got Konoha's ultimate technique, you can 1 hit pretty much anything with it, and I played on hard mode.

1 thing I want to address on my playtrough is that the MC itself made me feel like an asshole for real! He literally said the "L" word to almost every girl he bang, and oh have I mention that the MC is a Virgin slayer? Yes, I think he could rip every girl's hymen on the island if he wanted to...

And last thing last... SATSUKI IS THE BEST GIRL AND YOU COULD NEVER CHANGE MY MIND!

*Right! I forgot to mention that SURPRISINGLY the Harem ending is the least of my favorite ending, I mean wtf? Out of nowhere they want to fucc and share the MC? It made me feel weirded with how the other act with the MC all out of sudden, even Satsuki's personality is very diiferent from how she acted on her own ending... Not that I complain the beautiful H-scenery tho .

Someone called this the "Persona with sex", and it a spot-on definition.

In Apostle, you control Rei. Besides exploring supernatural dungeons and fighting monsters with your MC and 6 hot girls, you experience the daily life of the characters.

It's not as complex as Persona, but you have 6 events for each main girl, opportunities to have sex with other chicks, dates and such (you also have classes but, besides choosing the subject to study, that's it).

I admit I was tired of this game when I reached the end, but it was an amazing journey. Probably the best game in this site overall, at least for me (but be aware - you'll spend more time dungeoning than sexing, and there's no interactivity in sex scenes, so I can't say it's the best in mature content out there).

This game took me by surprise because the story and characters convinced me to stay. All girls look nice (except the loli, I dont like lolis). Comcat also is pretty good. The only thing that disappointed me is that there were less h-scenes then I would like for the length of this game and I would like more defeat scenes. It's still one of my favourites tho.
