So if you hit 50 karma even if you lower it later you are locked on the bad ending? or you can still get the true ending.

that is the way I remember it, last area if Karma is low you can get a sword I think, and get good ending.

EDIT>>>>Don't remember if it was 50 or lower, but yeah Karma has mostly all to do with good or bad ending.

EDIT2>>> Here is from walkthrough

The karma check happens as soon you disembark the ship on the home island. That's the very end of the game.

However, once your karma reaches 50, you’ve joined the dark side! There is no going back. This means you can lower the karma down to 50, but cannot go below it.

So, to answer your question, if you hit 50 karma, there is no lowering it later.

HOW COULD YOU let Fran lose her innocence !!! ... you can use an editing tool to reduce the Karma below 50,
true ending requires Fran to have learnt about her past and talked to her grandpa after returning to Misthorn, as long as you did those, triggering the true ending is still possible by fighting for her life (i hope you have regretted letting this poor girl suffer more after what she had to endure since childhood)

I dont agree with the mechanic of locking the true ending behind not doing lewd stuff in a nsfw game. But in my defense she didnt steal anything she just refused to run while fighting naked and she likes dancing in front of people. Thanks for the replies, i will try the save editing tool or try my luck with cheat engine when the time comes. Great game considering it was released back in 2014.

it's about the storytelling, if she indulges herself too much in lewd/bad stuff and then gets tormented by it, it's logical that she might give up her life, and this is how one gets the "sad" ending. additionally 50 Karma is too steep for normal playthrough (looking after the protagonist as one would treat oneself), it's not stealing or killing, it's about letting loose.

sorry if that sounded like a lecture, if it's yer first playthrough then it's ok to mess up few things as ye wouldn't know yer way around them or even play for h-content alone, i started playing the game for the art but later found the story and battle system more enjoyable and superior.

Most games don't do it right. In those games, sex is a reward for losing.

This game does it right. The difference between the canonical ending and other endings isn't in sex or romance. It's about the ability to resist temptations. Once you accumulate 50 karma, you've demonstrated that you're pretty much powerless against any temptation whatsoever. So, you get the ending in which you don't resist that one last temptation.

oh, for f******* sake, please stop treating this as if the story/ premise/ progression narration/ reasoning ever made any sense.

no getting me wrong - I LIKE this game and LIKE Fran. But the premise / setup/ reasoning/ progression narration/ true end reveal ... utter shite.
could not be worse if lowest level Hollywood conceived it.

It is not necessary to hail everything about the game to respect or like it.
good art, totally likeable MC, good everyday dialogues, very, some very good maps, good gameplay, good athmosphere, good enjoyable difficulty, good lore + mystery world, ... it is good.
I can ignore shitty premise/ setup/ progression narration/ reasoning/ hyper-irrelevant true-end reveal blah! and still like the game without the need to somehow artificially hyper* everything to above average/ bad. Because premise and story overall REALLY aren't.

-------------
tsmaniac or just forget about it. True Ending to me did not add anything but heaps of disgustingly totally irrelevant shitty BLAH! pissing me off to no ends. (author's extremely obvious inability to write anything remotely satisfying was ... yeah, more cringe-inducing than anything)
Well, sorry, but the way it is: Ariadne's value is in play, character, athmosphere, art; but story is more like detracting all the time than ever adding to the game.

ps - maybe irrelevant, but I played "pure run" because did not like the way "sexy times" were going.

what are the elements of a good story to u ? please don't bring an example without elaborating (thoroughly)

it's fine if ye don't like the story, this story could be simple or complicated depending on how deep it sank emotionally or thoughtfully into ye while playing it, however undermining a story while others enjoying and praising it only fer yer own perspectives, ye just r offending these people. my apologies if i annoyed ye before, but we should sometimes accept that everyone is different in their own way. ye could state yer opinion but at least do it respectfully
(it's fantasy world, i don't like or accept myths, i solely enjoyed the emotional experience)

Looks like someone is doomed to overuse slashes ("/").

Anyway, who is the chick in your avatar? I have a feeling I've killed her in video game, but I don't remember which.

I absolutely adore this game. It was one of my first games for those who were already 18. It has a great (for my taste, of course) combat system, an interesting storyline, and very exciting graphics. I'm in love with Ariadne.

I'm missing two mob H scenes. The hint for one says it's from a monster encountered in Endor, and the hint for the other says it's from a monster encountered in Odelion. Any idea what they are?
where did you see the hints if you don't mind me asking 3 years later
