Happy Monday all!

Only two scenes remain until the story renders are complete! Currently I'm at 2,616 story renders. Once I've completed these last two scenes, my focus will be working on the code and stitching things together. I will also be working on the remaining animations I need to complete, in addition to any renders I may need to re-do. I anticipate the code being finished before the animations are done. So, once I've completed the code and done a test playthrough to insure the bridge between CH1 and 2 is seamless, I'll hand this off to the beta testers. This way I can work on whatever bugs are reported sooner instead of waiting for the animations to complete. Once the animations are fully rendered, I'll simply just swap them with the placeholders I used in the beta version.

Chapter 2 is about 90% complete. Once I get to the point where I hand it off to the testers and they report back, I'll be comfortable on announcing a release date.

Happy Monday!

What a week it's been. I've been hammering away at the story renders and glad to say they're finally rendered! As I was processing the previous renders, I noticed there was a 30 shot gap. So I threw those into queue and got them rendered out this week. Placing Chapter 2 at a total of 3,018 story renders. There may be more as I expect to add some shots where I feel a certain piece of dialogue needs it. Sometimes a piece of dialogue needs those specific renders. CH1 had a scene where 4 renders slipped through the cracks and weren't added. This dramatically shifted the tone of the scene for many, although I felt the one expression may have gotten the point across. However, I was wrong and several took this particular scene the wrong way. So, I'll be adding shots I feel are necessary as I continue arranging the renders in the code. However, I'm not talking about hundreds of additional renders. And there may be no additional needed at all.

But now that the story renders are completed for the most part, I'll be shifting focus on wrapping up the remaining animations. Now that my main PC is freed up, I can double the rendering efforts so they can be completed faster. I'll also be going through the soundtrack this week. With 26 scenes in CH2. That's 26 new licensed tracks at the least. I'm doing something new with the playlist this chapter, so the amount of music will be doubled or tripled that number. I'll also be working on better compression while maintaining the quality best I can. CH1 featured about 70ish tracks, which added about 400MB to the file size alone. I'll do my best to bring the number down as much as I can. I'm also still making minor tweaks to some of the dialogue. Also the script will be going through a proofreader, so we can expect much less spelling/grammar errors this time!

Dang! I really hope digi.b doesn't burn out at this pace. That's scary and impressive! Hope we get to see this update by mid August, looking forward to diving back into the game.

Yeah, this pace is crazy. If you consider the output for Chapter 1 as well, digi.B could quit for the next two years and still be at a pace of over 200 renders per month. Not that I'm suggesting he quit. I value my life and don't want all the Artemis fans to hunt me down. :)

I think someone already mentioned it, but the other impressive thing this developer does is not announce release dates prematurely, eliminating the possibility of missing them and losing trust points. If I recall correctly, he didn't announce a release date for Chapter 1 until the day before. So who knows, maybe we'll get an update sooner than mid August. He seems to be closing in on the finish line.

Yes! Please be careful with those thoughts, don't need people blaming you for any bad luck that may befall Digi.b. I just hope his passion for making this game continues unabated from beginning to end.

Not only makes beautiful renders but he's smart too... LOL

I don't want to get my hopes up since I'm sure it needs to be proofread and beta tested. Still, any earlier will make me happier.

Good morning, all!
This ended up being a great week despite a snafu. Had an issue with my main GPU, so I contacted EVGA to start an RMA. Fortunately, I had purchased what they call EAR and while no longer providing it. They're still honoring those who purchased it. It's basically cross-shipping RMA. So I only had to wait a day. Out of curiosity, I thought I pop my old GPU with old parts I have. Turns out it still works. So I have until this Friday to ship them my "defected" GPU. So, I'm squeezing that last bit out of it before I ship it back on Wednesday. So this week I've just been hammering away as many animations as I can while I have this extra GPU. One scene I'm happy I completed is DJ Kink's performance. The animation came out very satisfactory and is almost done. There are different angles and poses, so I'm real excited to piece the scene together once they finish in a few hours. Splitting a single animation between 3 PCs has really sped things up.
That said, I'm going to try to get as many more done by Wednesday, which is the day I'll need to ship my old GPU back before they charge me. I found this app called Monday and has been nice organizing my tasks. Here is the list of animations I need to complete.


The part that says "stuck" is because I accidently rendered something already done. I already corrected it I just haven't updated it to "In Queue". There are also two other lewd animations not listed here. So 15 animations remain. I'll be working and queuing as many as I can by Wednesday. After that, I'll shift focus back on the code and UI.

I'm really looking forward to playing this all over again when episode 2 comes out.

Agreed. Cunnilingus should be shown a lot more but I imagine the posing and animation maybe more difficult than a blowjob. Foreplay is not often portrayed in games, a lot of them are more "wham, bam, thank you Ma'am". Same for the after sex clean up and "cuddle". I suppose having more realistic sex scenes might

One day, a developer will make the ultimate realistic sex scene: Towels on the bed so you don't soak the sheets, one or two unintentional elbow/knee hits trying to get into position, lots of unflattering noises and finally, everyone takes a piss before going to bed :)

Take note kids: Not peeing after sex is a very easy way get painful UTIs :(

LOL, god... That would be hilarious to see in one of these games. Just would love to see an imperfect sex scene for once. All the kids who play these games and watch too much porn have completely unrealistic expectations.

If I recall, the sex scenes in the first release of Artemis were the weak point for me. The characters, plot, dialogue, and the overwhelming desire to behead Cassandra are what hooked me. I'm anxious to see how digi.B improves and how creative he is with sexy situations, foreplay, etc. I couldn't agree more about the constant "wham, bam, thank you Ma'am" scenes in these games. I actually proofread for someone where I corrected it to say something about the woman's cervical wall instead and the dev was unhappy with my correction. My favorite is when a non-pregnant woman is referred to as having a womb as in "flooding her womb".

Anyway, I hope that digi.b is better or at least has editors/proofreaders he listens to and trusts.

It's even worse when they depict hitting the cervix as a good thing, like it's pleasurable. As any woman who had ever experienced it can tell you, that shit fucking hurts, and not in a good way. There is nothing remotely sexy about jack-hammering into the cervical wall.

Oh yes, I've even seen someone talk about penetrating the cervix which is laughable and would also be horrible for the woman. It's frustrating and very much a turn off when proofreading a story or script in which it is all about the man's satisfaction yet the women act like it is the most amazing experience to have a giant penis slam into their cervical wall repeatedly. People need to research more.

Digi.b seems to be okay in this game. I don't recall anything glaring about the scenes, though they didn't really seem inspired. Will have to see if they get better.

I appreciate being anatomically correct. But regardless, the mention of any internal organ during dirty talk doesn't do it for me. Not only that, viewing these games is beginning to make me feel a bit inadequate. I've been married almost 20 years and not once have I made my wife scream "You're flooding my womb!"
