The game is short but really enjoyed that. Graphics are better than most I've played and it has a good storyline. Can't wait for updates on this going forward. Bravo!

Hm, i'm really between the stools with this game.
One one hand i like the story as well as the visuals and then there is this college/sorority content, which just doesn't fit at all with the rest of the story.
The whole thing just feels it is there for some cheap and fast sex, i really hope we can stay clear from that sorority, but seeing that so far 7 out of 11 LI's are part or related to it, i doubt it.
Also too many LI's imo.
Makes it also hard to take Reina and her business serious, i mean, she is ceo, which deals with multi billion dollar companies and takes part in some stupid college cum-competition...same as her apparently important co-workes like Paige/Kati, which she takes to buisness meetings and are part of the recruitment process...
Yet their largest problem seems to be some slut, they don't like getting back in the sorority and the only way to prevent it, is that stupid competition...the whole thing is just a huge PR-desaster in the waiting and really breaks the suspension of disbelief for me.
As for Cassandra, i think if we only had the backstory and as we meet her again she would be apologetic/remorseful, maybe helping the MC getting a job (put in a good word for the MC as she meets with Raina), i could see a redemption path.
Alas she is beyond redemption at this point and all i hope for is a good revenge path.
Even if u could make a believable redemption arc, as a LI i just can't see it. She ruined MC's life, he had 3 years of therapie and some serious trust issues, even if u could forgive her, i don't see how u could ever trust such a person again.
And i really hope we can pursue June, without getting involved with the sorority.
But why is she working at a bar again ? As far is i understood she already developed and commercialized a medication (anti baby pill)...that should make more than just a bit of money.

Yeah, it's my number one negative with this game. I like the whole story, the betrayal, the MC trying to move on... But the HoI is a giant porn cliché - the sorority of hot women who are sexy and available plus come in all different shapes and sizes. It feels so cheap and dumb. And inflates the number of love interests to the point that the dev needs to devote a ton of time to them when he could be focused on Kindra, June, Artemis, and <shudder> Cassandra (if players are twisted like that lol).
Yeah, Reina is a bad character - but all of the HoI is weak. Just don't understand how they thought the sorority action made sense. They could have it that all of these women work for Reina and they all met at the sorority when they were all in college. No need to have them still in the sorority, could have just had the house they live in be Reina's property that they are all living in.
Cassandra is singularly unredeemable - Reina could be, maybe, but we shall have to see how it goes. But Cassandra needs to fall through an open manhole and disappear.
I hope the MC's trust issues continue since it would destroy his character's believability if he instantly trusts everyone in the next update.
June is cute but the fact that they already tried and decided to be friends makes me disinclined to try. Especially with her connection to the HoI. He would have to be around all of them...
As to the pill, it seemed like it was in early clinical trials. I don't think she will really make money until after the trials. Rest assured she will be fabulously rich eventually but right now she probably needs the job at the bar.
And I have to ask... "Between the stools"? Raziel, I've never heard that before. Is it a saying or a reference to a meme? Forgive me I'm old and cutting my coffee intake from 10-16 cups a day to 1. LOL
That was the whole point of the first release. Your not suppose to like Cassandra nor are you suppose to like the HoI girls and it looks like Digi did a good job in that regard, he accomplished what he set out to do. You have to remember that we have barely even begun to scratch the surface when it comes to the story and a LOT of things are going to change.
Right now Kindra is everyone's favorite and with good reasons but it wouldn't be hard for Digi to make her everyone's least favorite with the flip of a switch if he so wanted to. You need to give it more time before you start bashing one aspect of the game over another because you don't know what the future holds.
Point being is that i don't like where this conversation is going, it seems to be heading in the direction of "if you don't get rid of the HoI girls i'll quit playing" and i really don't want to see the dev change his original script because a few people on f95zone don't like a certain aspect of what we have seen so far.

Yeah, i think that doesn't translate well (or i did a poor job at it)...
It's a saying in my country, it basically just means there is a conflict of interest and ur undecided which side u want to take.
I'm guessing that it's similar to "on the fence".

Maybe it's porn cliché but which porn game doesn't have any ? You may want a hollywood script writer level, but nonetheless the plot is good for the genre

Best chapter 1 of all the VNs I read/played. Though it's just 1 chapter dev made an excellent job to squeeze each and every one of them for the character introduction. Man, this project will be huge thus a very long waiting game for updates to come but for sure it'll definitely be worth it. See y'all in the final version cowboys!

Good morning everyone!
Productive week overall. I was doing some research to enhance renders further. In my research, I've picked up some tips on quicker renders while maintaining the same quality. There was an animation cooking this week that was going to take a few days to complete. So, I did a test frame and applied the new settings. And the results were nearly, if not practically identical. I ended up finishing that render in under a day vs the original three days. I still have animations to complete, so this is some good news as I plan to work on longer animations now. I also plan on procuring another asset this week, this one I won't share though. I'm considering it heavy spoiler for one of the characters. It will be a significant change for them, so I'll leave that as a surprise.
Aside from that, my focus was hammering away with the story renders this week. I'm at 2,454 story renders. I also decided to remove another scene. The scene is important, but I felt it is too early to place in CH2. I also felt it undermines the scene that was before it. So, that said only 5 scenes remain to be posed and rendered. Once they're finished, I can focus on other areas I've been chipping away at (UI, remaining animations and updating code/new phone).
Also, I can't recall if I mentioned this already. So I'll mention it again. I had one sandbox planned, but I couldn't find a way to plant it. So CH2 won't have any sandbox events. I moved it to CH3 as this is sort of going to be your second home and I really want to take my time decorating/furnishing. It also fits better in CH3.
We're nearly there, everyone! These last three months since CH1 release have been a joy for me. I learned a lot with this first update and I'm looking to better my workflow for future updates.

In terms of efficiency, consistency, and productivity, digi.B is currently crushing other developers I follow. By my rough calculation, he's producing over 800 renders per month. Also, his development log, preview renders, and wallpapers are updated like clockwork on Patreon. When you read his detailed logs and comments, you get the sense he's taking great joy in his project, rather than it being a money grab. It makes me feel real good about my small "investment" in Artemis.
Wow... this developer is working really fast and I love the updates... two weeks ago it was 10 scenes to go... last week it was 8 scenes to go and now 5 (I think my timelines right...).
Almost like a countdown to the next release which will hopefully be in 2-3 weeks which I am really looking forward to

Happy Monday all!
Only two scenes remain until the story renders are complete! Currently I'm at 2,616 story renders. Once I've completed these last two scenes, my focus will be working on the code and stitching things together. I will also be working on the remaining animations I need to complete, in addition to any renders I may need to re-do. I anticipate the code being finished before the animations are done. So, once I've completed the code and done a test playthrough to insure the bridge between CH1 and 2 is seamless, I'll hand this off to the beta testers. This way I can work on whatever bugs are reported sooner instead of waiting for the animations to complete. Once the animations are fully rendered, I'll simply just swap them with the placeholders I used in the beta version.
Chapter 2 is about 90% complete. Once I get to the point where I hand it off to the testers and they report back, I'll be comfortable on announcing a release date.

Goddamn, I'm late to the party. This was top-tier stuff. The characters and story are obviously great, and the subtleties in the expressions and transitions really make them pop. Sex was also a great blend of hot and fun. Funnily enough, one of the bits that most impressed me was the Zoe 'fluffer' scene, because it managed to make a quick encounter feel genuine. Just the way it's built up, from the initial sort-of shutdown to the compromise to the 'Fuck it, might as well do it' conclusion. All of it felt like things real people could easily say, not just trotting out the usual clichés. Pretty sure Ch2 is going to be a banger.
