You said it right, the depth of the characters, the fact they're all pretty much broken but manages through, really didn't expect psychology in an AVN, the metaphorical wall the MC experiences with women because the trauma inflicted by his ex, hit me hard cause cause I went through the same hahaha
There are very few X scenes, and I don't mind one bit, because that game is legit good. Can't wait for the update.

I 100% agree with what you said with this story there is a goal something to achieve, Either with Artemis or healing yourself so you can have a relationship again. With other games you feel like the outcome of the story is to have sex. Here that is not the point, How you get there is the players choice and i like that.

Chasing Sunsets Ch6 Dev Update: Pulling It All Together
Tonight marks a milestone of development I refer to as "Asset Collapse." Basically, the goal at this point is to combine the art, sound, dialogue, and choice matrix into a playable skeleton and flesh out what remains "until it's ready."
This is the phase where I build achievements, scene and photo gallery additions, and make any UI changes that make sense.
This phase is also about refining art and dialogue we may have already completed, and represents the milestone of the chapter where Kent and I see all the pieces coming together for the first time.
If you are not in our Discord, we hope you'll reconsider! We have a great community of fans and Kentyrr and I are pretty active and love to hear feedback, theories, and speculation.
At the risk of jinxing us, our goal is to release before the end of September since I will be at a wedding in New York for the first week of October, and I would hate to see development slip past that. As always, the caveat is "when it's ready." I'd hate to release the night before I fly out and run into a game-breaking bug while 3000 miles from my development PC!
In any case, no news for us usually means good news - We haven't run into any major roadblocks or identified any risks that make us feel like we need to raise the red flag.
That doesn't mean we haven't had a close call or two: One of my NVMe SSDs shat the bed on Sunday, and I lost a day to system recovery, but fortunately saw no impact to game files (which are backed up in triplicate anyway!)
Starting to feel that "release on the horizon" rush, and can't wait to show you all what we've been up to!
In the meantime, we've been curious about the dominant playthrough for some time. We'd love to hear how you are tackling the story.

I've been an avid reader all my life, still remember when I read The Lord of the Rings 27 years ago, the feeling I had, was so invested in it, and how it hurt when I finished it.
What you said is exactly what I think, to me, other games who focus on sex are forgettable, like a porn movie, you may remember a scene cause it's a particular kink or whatever, but then there's always another one and you forget it completely. Games like Artemis (I'll add BaDIK, Eternum, Once in a Lifetime, Acting Lessons, Leap of Faith, that type), sex scenes adds to the story, not the other way around. Storytelling, great character arcs, combined with great renders/music selection, and ESPECIALLY humor, create memories.

When you get girls to be into you, like thinking of you for their kinky games,
you go with the flow. So far, we only get flings and hook ups for the fun of it.
There is no running away from the past, juju is still juju years later,
MC still has the most livid ex to contend with, Kink is still doing dj work for the rush
and possibly to get hit on left and right ... this fast pace is not good for patching anything up.

With Kink, MC is still working through their breakup, his ex is still a war in progress,
the girls are happy to get a night out every now and again with MC.

High Rez Chibi Zelda:Happy Monday!
This week has been pretty eventful. The Halloween party certainly lived up to my expectations. I had always anticipated it would be a large scene, so I was prepared for some of the shortcomings and acted accordingly. I was originally going to use billboards for a lot of the background characters. Though there are several sources of lighting (Tiki torches, lights from the pool, lights from the booths, and lights from the heat lamps.). It didn't look so great, so I had to fall back on my alternative which was creating LODs for the guests (Level of Detail models). One of the limitations of DAZ is not being able to store these LODs, because that'd be too easy of course. But long story short, I exported various lower res models to stuff in the background when needed. This also means I had to rethink some shots.
Small hiccup, but things are looking really great now. Because of how long this update is taking, I wanted to share a preview for everyone with this DevLog. It's the only preview I'll share that shows one of the INKs in their costumes since I want to leave much of the surprise when you play the update.
On the subject of the Halloween party. While I was working on parts of Zelda's minigame for her booth, I had an idea spark to add to her game. So I had a chibi design of her commissioned for her game. Also, a reminder that at the beginning of Chapter 3 you were asked if you wanted to skip all minigames, so minigames aren't forced upon you.
You can double check your setting in the preferences/config menu. But here is the chibi art for Zelda for those who would like to have it.
I've also been butting heads with my composer for this next track we're working on. Since nearly all the tracks playing at the party will be sort of generic sounding club tracks, I wanted at least one Halloween themed song to play. And I never thought creating such a thing would be such a task. I figured I'd get a fire track with some spoopy elements added to it. But I've had to intervene more than I wanted to. Who knows, maybe I'm being too critical. But if with all the work put into this update so far, no t will go uncrossed. Though I still feel bad I have to email him back and say, "I still don't like how this one part of the song sounds". But the track is turning out nice at this point and I'm hoping you all will enjoy it too. It will be the track that opens up as the story transitions to the party. I'll also be making the commissioned tracks available to you guys following the release of CH4.
CH4 is now up to 3,620 story renders. For those still waiting on your custom requests, I'll be continuing working on yours Monday. Then it's continuing wrapping up this final scene for this update. That said, I'm going work on some simple dev stuff before some shut eye.
