His/her rating of 1 star, and youth of the account tells me its either a troll, or they just dislike higher quality games, could the expressions be better somehow, maybe but very few other games take the time to even come close to doing so, like maybe 1% of the top 1%, many games dont even have expressions except in basic little reused character face images lol.
Essentially it would triple or more the dev time to get 'perfect expressions'

Mmm, well new account aside (we all had to start somewhere), I'll agree with your assessment. And I hadn't even noticed his rating.

Anyway, any of us that have been around for a while have seen some fucking horrible renders (and not just faces...jesus why isn't eye-bleach actually a thing) so thinking any of those above are worthy of serious criticism is...yeah.

With the whole review thing, Id say the main thing is to explain yourself, If you think the expressions dont look good, explain why, give examples, yeah we do all start new, but the trick is before reviewing something figure out what you are really saying, do you just not like a smile, or other facial feature, does it remind you of a girl that dumped you, or is it something that could be improved.
There is one thing in common for most of the games I'd personally call the best, and thats Story, sure the sex scenes are a plus, but if it doesnt have a story to get you to those scenes then you might as well be viewing a basic jpg pornsite.
Artemis, Deluca Family, Sorceror, Terminus Reach, Homecoming, Bad Memories, DMD, Eternum, Rebirth, and the Wicked Choices series to name a few, all completely different games yet they all have a story, I know I left out lots of great games but I didnt want to post a five page list

Summer's gone. IMHO one of the top games on this site. Practically no sex content but such a great story with great renders and in depth characters. One of few games I don't skip the dialog.

'Mornin everyone!

Just a quick check-in on where we're at. Doing the post work on the 1,800-ish backlogged renders took a little longer than expected. I got done with them on Friday and have been inserting them into the code all weekend. I informed the Beta Team they'll be getting the first test build tomorrow (Monday, it's currently Sunday night for me still).

I did take Monday and Tuesday off from my day job to focus on the Beta build and testing. For those curious, why I'm still working even though I hit 1k Patrons. I did submit my letter of resignation not long ago. Due to my position at the company, I work for, flat out quitting wouldn't be very professional, and I don't intend to burn any bridges. I'm also fond of my co-workers and couldn't leave them in the middle of a project. Now that's complete, I'm training a few of them to take over some of my duties and look forward to this new direction in my career being a developer. And that's many thanks to you all. Past, present, and future. Truly. Thank you.

But I just cracked open another can of Red Bull and going as long as I can tonight wrapping up the Beta build.

Yeah, that is kinda dumb from a programming perspective, like having code that just uses the clipboard, erasing whatever is stored there (without user consent).

Yeah, honestly the spot for this sort of thing is autosave slot 6 or something (assuming that's possible). Page 1 Slot 1 is pretty much where everyone saves for the first time. Hell, some people never even move off page 1 and just keep saving over the previous ones as they cycle through 1-6.

Artemis beta test goes out today. Then testing for 2 weeks so if that schedule keeps, then the release will be the 3rd. Also Digi is becoming a full time dev so update time should hopefully improve

Reading the comments on the Autosave makes me think I'm in the minority how I save, a new slot every time, next page if needed.

I have some games (AHiTR and Harem Hotel for starters) that the save page is somewhere in the teens, since I usually use a walkthough mod it makes it easier to rollback to a previous save if the current one doesn't play nice (For example, the lastest Leap of Faith update broke my save, but I was able to load a previous one)

I with you on the whole using a new slot every time; on games with especially good scenes or long releases(like Photo Hunt or Leap of Faith), I'm in the hundreds, though I try to stay in the teens. It also depends on how much the game branches off.
