Y'all really haven't thought this through, have you? So, let's break it down...

NO ONE gets into the lab without Kindra's authorization. The place is literally a fucking sealed vault BUNKER!

Elevator? Hell no! The fucking power is out! Even if the elevator were still operational the lab is a sealed vault!

Cassandra's little thief is currently locked down in the living room with absolutely NO means of escape.

Worst case scenario, the guy turns vandal or tries to swipe some of Kindra's, June's and/or MC's personal shit but the cops will search him once they finally arrive on scene, the power is restored and Kindra lets them in. The details on the secure nature of Kindra's place are outlined in the game's dialogue. That place makes Fort Knox look like easy pickings! Did you miss the steel traps slamming shut over all of the windows and doors when the thief was initially trapped upstairs? That thief isn't going ANYWHERE!

I'm sure I'm coming off like a total prick about now but this has to be the fifth or sixth time I have seen this same debate in this forum. Artemis is locked securely inside her sanctuary/vault/lab and the thief is locked securely upstairs with no way to reach the lab. Any speculation to the contrary is just paranoia. Humble apologies for being such an ass about this subject. Yet, after reading so many of these comments I'm left wondering if any of the folks who made such comments even bothered to read the dialogue in game. Okay... Phat will STFU and end the rant here... We now resume our regularly scheduled forum banter... Have a great day!;)(y)

You are such a prick! No I'm kidding lol I'm not offended in any way, thanks for the detailed reply! I probably play 10-12 different games every week, and there's no way I'll remember every little thing, especially waiting 6+ months for updates.. I couldn't say how many games I've jumped into the middle of with literally zero recollection of the story, sometimes even after being reacquainted with the ladies I still don't have a clue.

Also when they were showing that at the end they were also showing Artemis booting up so I just put two and two together, while being unsure of what would cause that if not the thief.

You're on point and I agree. However..... I have a sneaky feeling that this scene may be written to somehow defy what's logical and rational in such a way that the secret is revealed. If so, I'm going to be really bent. In my book, no one gets in there unless it's with a court order and a whole squad of agents. Some rogue security contractor just pounds sand and there is no scene with a guy sliding down a rope.

I hope my sneaky feeling is wrong.

I'm curious, at this point did anyone changed how they feel about Vulvamort now?
Yeah.. no. She has been a miserable cunt for at least 13 years (since the Highschool scene).

For her to change it would take at least an entire chapters worth of her doing God's work (no porn in God's work). She would have to do soooo much good just to get back to even.

I am kinda curious what made her the way she is.

Her role is set for the foreseeable future.

Before the party, MC was attempting to run a test on Artemis but cancelled it due to the power overload warning. The program auto reset to try again in 6 hours and MC said he was going to stop that timer however either he messed up the process or forgot because as he left the lab the count down resumed. That is why Artemis woke up and why the power went out. MC's Artemis test reset and rebooted. Hope that helps.

It never fails to amuse me (a little) that multiple people playing a game can come up with different accounts of events that happened in a (static) game :p. So far, only Phat describes multiple aspects of the security measures of the hidden bunker facility/lab and the loft/apartment in the most objective possible way. Kudos. (Disclaimer, I have to take your words for it because I have not played it myself).

As for others, I guess they are oblivious to it because it is of no importance to them, while for some (those whom I guess hardcore self-inject/project themselves into the MC), there is no security system in place at all.
More likely those players noticed that Artemis isn't exactly a realistic game. Our heroes frequently do dumb things simply to give the villains a sporting chance, so having no security in the lab would be par for the course; need I remind you why power went out in the first place? Yes, it's possible all the security is within the lab, but that would be extremely bad design. Why give intruders unlimited time to plan their ingress? The exterior of a secure facility should still be monitored and protected.

More importantly, if the ops team can't access the lab why even include the subplot? Making our villains look like less of a threat wouldn't be a good idea. So I assume the thieves will manage to breach the lab and get *something*. But we'll see what happens.

So... if Cassandra is not quite as evil as Hitler, she can be redeemed? Nice.

How about this then, if she weighs the same as a duck, can we burn her?
I doubt you'd get much pushback burning her even if you skipped weighing the duck entirely.

Honestly, I think Cassie has been a pretty badly written character overall and the game would probably be better off without her further involvement. She *could* have been a formidable (if loathsome) antagonist we desperately wanted to see the MC score a victory against, but instead she's reduced to delusional whining at the first sign of adversity. Her only victory came in a flashback cutscene; since then she's barely managed to tie her own shoelaces. Now she'll either be handed a victory by authorial fiat or she'll fall even flatter on her face. Neither option would make me care about her, much less regard her as a valid romance option.

On an entirely unrelated note, did anyone else notice the dates on Kindra's driver's license make no sense?
Kindra_License_date_issue.jpg
Even if we assume this is an old license that still counts as a valid ID, it would have expired 2 years before she was legally old enough to drive in California. Oh, and it claims she has no restrictions even though that would have been during high school when we know she had absurdly thick glasses.

Presumably one or both of those dates is a typo.

me too, I even tried the compressed version and it does the same thing. Older versions of the game are working fine so I think there is bug somewhere.
I recently discovered this game and I was playing on 3.2 before 4.1 and I can't help but notice a clear change.
Serious lag during animated sequences I didn't have in 3.2 as well as a steady increase in RAM usage as I play.
I don't know what changed exactly but something definitely did change.

I was replaying with the walkthrough to see what I missed. It mentions something about Paige and deleting video in chapter 2 during the Zelda date.

Does anyone know what this is actually referring to I don't get this option at all. What triggers this?

I did some digging. It looks like this scene was moved to chapter 3 and the walkthrough probably forgot to mention/remove the chapter 2 reference.

Something was eating at me during my second play thru, and I did a screen shot of the thief breaking in right at the count down.

Cris spelled like that would likely be a female, at least in my estimation. If I remember correctly the later image is from the back so you can't tell for sure.

Hi everyone

I just wanted to ask you guys a prediction.
I don't remember when I first played this game idk if it was the preview or the fist "episode/chapter", anyways I played once, and then I followed digi.B and became a patreon for a while I did lost track for reasons, until this version.

So my question is, when do you think V0.8 would be coming out? I know anything could happen, but I like to play for days.

I do the same for other games here, BaDIK, StS, PowerVac, etc.

Anyways I was just wondering, just to read yours predictions, if anyone do answer thanks alot
the game have enough content for you to play for days , i finished the last update in two days , and the others are also big, the game also takes some time releasing new chapters since like BaDIK and for example Summer's Gone , etc. the updates are big ones.

I mean I litterally finished the game two days ago for the first time, entirely from beginning to end without a pause so there is a slight chance that I've missed some details about it in the dialogues. But I guess it makes sense that we need Kindra's authorization to get to the lab and that there's a lot of security considering what's in the bunker so I wasn't really worried about it myself. Also make sense that the elevator don't work without power but I think I've read at some point that the lab had its own power thingy in case of... a situation like what happened at the end precisely. Anyway it's reassuring all the same.

Now she'll either be handed a victory by authorial fiat or she'll fall even flatter on her face. Neither option would make me care about her, much less regard her as a valid romance option.
It's so weird to read that when really Cassie has litterally been the cause of every good things that happen to MC, even if that was not her purpose to help him. Plus, as your point it out yourself, she is never winning, which in theory should decrease the hate some people have for her. Without her there would be no story to begin with. It's thanks to her that MC meet Claire and June, has time to work on Artemis (since he got fired because of her), has the excuse of commitment issues to fuck around with the sorority girls... hell he wouldn't even had met the sorority girls without June, who he met because of Cassie in the first place... it's also because of Cassie that Reina feel guilty and let herself get closer to MC etc etc (I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff). Even her betrayal is the very thing that start the story. A lot of things wouldn't have happened without this character. PLUS it's fun to mock her and be mean to her because she's such a bitch.
I really don't understand why you people want to get rid of her... I understand not wanting to fuck her... but get rid of her would really just be plain stupid. She's the unwilling cause of many good things that happen, she never wins, she's blinded by her insecurities AND it's fun to mock her.

I mean I get the jokes but some people seems serious about wanting this character to die. I don't want her to die, I want more MC imagining throwing her out the window. Wouldn't be as fun if she was really dead.

Well, since California Drivers License's are MM/DD/YYYY I'm thinking the year is just left out (but I could be wrong, and it still is odd, since most of the time they expire on your birthday)

Usually places with elevators also have stairs for safety reasons. Not saying the stairs can't be locked down, but in the event of a fire or other such events (like a power outage), easy exit is preferred.
