I think so too. There're many reasons why it can happen to miss the estimate goal. None of those reasons have to be your own fault but the trolls are going to do their thing.

Seems to me that solo devs are more common than teams, unless you're counting testers and proofreaders. Barring a few, most of the devs I know of do all of the art, writing, and coding themselves.
