From what i read Dev already released a fix, judging from discord and myself included have the same issue, full game download, no saves no nothing, update from previous to this as well, to no avail.

This is the last choice of chapter 5 (I guess on any path?!?), a save made there should always work even though it goes a bit back on the story.

So yeah if you don't save often in different slots it is always a gamble in not completed games hehe.

About the patch, I dunno I did what I do every time, I extracted all in a folder and cut it and paste all the content in the place where the executable is in the game installation. Only thing I had to do was to remove the scrappy mod code folder inside the game folder because was giving parsing errors when running the game. So far no errors during my first playthrough save, even though I didn't play that much yet.

Unfortunately I was too clever for my own good. All my good saves were made just near the end of the press conference. And in my ultimate wisdom, that seemed like a good time to clean up all my saves. And since URM makes it so easy to do save management I went a bit overboard and kept the most recent one for the LIs I'm following, and a loner solo path. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait as it's a long way to do a full restart.

to work. Any save before that works fine and then the game continues on to chapter 6 with no problem.. As I said in another post there is a patch he's working on.

To be fair i completely get that. his model is a side character in another game and it throws me off so hard XD

"Start" button starts a new game without issue. "Configuration" takes me to the settings. "Archive" shows all the unlocked scenes I have unlocked, and they all replay. So fine, I start a new game and play for a bit to test it out. I then right-click the mouse to save and it goes straight to the exact same error as above.

Maybe I patched it wrong... wouldn't be the first time I made a mistake. So I delete the game and download '0.6 Full', unzip it, and fire it up. Everything loads up like before. Start, Configuration, and Archive all work properly... but as soon as I hit load I got straight to the exact same error as above.

If it was a problem with my saves, I would suspect that it would still show the saves listed and crash when I try to load one. But it doesn't get that far...

Any thoughts? I could try and un-rpa the files and then try to follow the errors to track down what's going on... but as it's a fresh install I should at least be able to open the Load screen shouldn't I?

I got the same error. I ended up deleting the persistent file in the save game folder and then the one in my user renpy folder (drive, users, your user name, roaming, renpy, artemis) and that seems to work. However, the error comes up again later, after using a few other saves (Kissed DJ Kink or not, being firm with Artemis or not and a few others related to Ch6 events)

Ended up deleting the persistents files in both locations once again and I am good to go. My saves to start with came from 5.1, modded, but were just before fighting with Naomi.

Try deleting the persistents and see if that gets you going, at least till there is a patch.

Blowing away the persistent will also wipe all collected scenes and SD Cards in the Archive as well. Something to keep in mind, if anyone cares about being a completionist.

True about the completionist part. I do see using URM I can restore the SD cards and scenes but that is a number of items to change from False to True. I am still getting the isdigit on occasion, usually trying to move or rename saves using URM - not entirely sure if there is an issue wiith URM and Artemis. My URM is the latest version, much older version throw other errors.

my guess is the lack of a non-steam version code for the SDcards but I didn't look too much into it.

Fixed using unlock gallery mod because it looked like all future SD cards would have the same problem.

Search instead of "looking".

Go to your user profile and set your search setting to most recent.

Search compressed v0.6, compressed win, etc.

click on the shower door.......it's the last thing you need to do.
