First try installing on a disc drive with a short path like

Goddam it worked. What in seven hells why the fuck ther is a issue like that ? Never seen such a thing. Anyway thx man i wouldn't think this as a solution if i did try to fix it by my self. Finaly open the game.

this is caused by symbols in the filename after the first character. so in this case its probably the files titled (GNR)
go in to the module folder and remove the ) from all four of them
spaces are ok tho.
so
(GNR First Sight
etc
should fix.
check the rest of the folder to make sure no other modules have symbols after the first character

Sim games like this are surprisingly more complex to make then you'd think. It's the same reason why there's yet to be a really good competitor to The Sims yet despite EA continuing to shit up the franchise.

yes the game has a save function. in fact you can even use AAU to allow saving during the middle of the day, but normally save button is available in your bedroom in the evening period (when you get home from school)

the studio themselves made newer game (SVS / Summer Vacation Slam or something like that) which is already being modded very successfully, and will likely end up better than aa2 in a year or 2.
also there is a mod team that has been working on a remake of aa2 in the godot engine for about 3 years now, they are probably a year away from completion. ask on the modclub discord about it

no, The Sims is a unique case because they managed to get copyright/patent on a lot of features way back in the mid 90s when they made the first one, and so most game companies in the west are legally unable to compete with the sims.
However, other countries dont have to follow those laws, thats how Inzoi was made, and it can easily compete with sims once it too also has 12 years of expansions and mods made for it lol. have you played it yet? its literally just sims with very slightly better graphics.

Recently had to upgrade to Windows 11 for unrelated reasons, and while checking everything was functional, I've noticed some sudden clipping issues with skirts that were not present before (but I am not sure if they were fine directly before the upgrade, didn't check). The top of the skirts are also all crinkly now. Any known fixes? Picture includes the save preview showing it looking fine on the same character before.
