Ok fixed it, it was one of the settings that I accidentally activated when I was button mashing to see if I could encounter any new commands. Thanks for the help

I have installed literally everything in the guide step by step and yet this game does not work. when it says to check if things are working in the guide i did this and the game ran that time, but now it doesn't run at all, and i don't know why.

im not sure if the .part files in data are causing a problem maybe (they sholdnt be there). i couldnt see all of your base data folder sets, there might be a conflict. nothing in overrides will prevent your game from starting. also couldnt tell whats in your Sets folder (that is important). also need to see what options are enabled on the other tabs of the AAU launcher (might have the wrong loaders for example)

also the game just takes ages to start up a lot of times (including windows saying its not responding) so let it cook a while

It really shouldn't take that long to start up. For reference it takes my game 13 seconds to start and this computer is 8 years old. If everything is installed correctly and it doesn't start up, hangs on launcher then there isn't much you can try beside starting the ppex server manually to see what happens and if it gives you an error (it probably will). The launcher only tends to hang if it can't connect to the ppex pipe, and you can easily test if that is the case by disabling the ppex resource loader and starting the game. It should start but won't work.

AA2: better npcs, npcs interact with each other, lots of mods, lots of positions, other males allowed, can play as male or female

Koikatsu: More control during positions, a few set stories, a more varied character editor, a built in scene editor for making your own positions or importing from elsewhere.

personally, I prefer AA2. it has much more replay-ability, and the characters feel more alive and varied. koikatsu is good for 1-2 playthroughs, but I have legit played AA2 for probably a hundred+ hours. being able to play a male or female, student or teacher, different play styles, with different NPCs? hard to beat. also a lot of games use koikatsu's engine to make their CGs. if koikatsu were a tag on here, it would probably have somewhere between 5-10% of all games. not sure if that's a positive or negative for playing koikatsu itself, but its really noticeable and you won't be able to take that back.

also AA2 is apparently from the far future. so its better
