Considering that the main character has so far condemned him, and Ethan convinces him that now is "the damn apocalypse, what the hell are the moral norms, do what you like while the others don't mind", I don't mind that the developer decided to persuade the main character to sodomy this way, and if Ethan also accidentally dies on the way, bequeathing I'll also applaud and subscribe to his patreon, but believe me, if the Developer forces me to watch Ethan fuck everyone while we cry and touch ourselves in the closet, I'll be the first to conjure taste buds in his anus.

It's all bs. Dev has Ethan as an "important" plot pusher because he's in a relationship with his family, so now it's fine for the MC to be with his family. Then how did Ethan get to that point? By seeing another dude banging his family? No, it's a pointless plot that the dev just wants to add random fluff, maybe because he couldn't come up with a better story. Even having a gallery section for Ethan is actually fkn insane. This story would have been better had Ethan been the MC, and our current MC stumbles into the home, and Ethan takes his girls. Instead, our weak MC needs to see another man act before he can act himself. The Dev is confused as to who the MC is.
I'm typically a fan of protag-centric games, as in MC is the only male that is ever involved with girls. Haven't played since the last update, but I remember the (skippable) scene with Ethan and his mom being pretty inoffensive. IIRC it was made pretty clear that Ethan's mom is not a LI, probably never will be, and the scene's main purpose was to help break down MC's hangups about incest, queueing things up for MC later on.
Dev has shown he has no problem killing off female characters, so I feel like *if* Ethan ends up dead in the future, his mom will likely meet the same fate. However, considering Ethan is a doctor, and highly resourceful, odds are he'll be around for the long haul. Maybe dev meant to reassure us that Ethan isn't a threat to MC, since he's clearly happy with his sex life.
I didn't care for the option to wingman for another guy to get with one of MC's LIs, but IIRC there was a single choice, and choosing to shut it down almost entirely eradicated the other guy from the game. Thus, that whole situation didn't end up bothering me much.
Now I'm off to try the new update, but I'm gonna go ahead and restart, since it seems dev changed a lot of stuff from earlier versions(roughly 3000 lines of dialogue based on my progress tracker).
Edit: After replaying the game from the start, it seems that all the new lewd scenes for the 0.40 update take place *before* the end of 0.30, so if you load a save from the end of 0.30 you *will* miss all the new lewds. The "go home" route leads to Alice solo path or Alice/Nina path, but may allow for more LIs to join in future updates.. The "go to school" route seems to be the way to go for the early harem. Gives the option for any combination of Alice, Amber, Green, and Nina. Those 4 appear to be the only actual LIs in the game thus far, and the only 4 with a "love" variable.

Probably wouldn't be hard for dev to follow this game up with a spinoff of Ethan's life. Could follow him while he builds his relationships with his mom, sister, and maid. Depending on how this one develops, and how much Ethan's path diverges from MC's, could potentially follow Ethan through the events of this game and beyond, as well.

NTR games are never tagged if the dev himself doesn't straight up send a 3-page notarised report to the mods, and even then, it's a dice roll how the mods react

I thought the same...he looks better, is clearly more capable, has the better girls, doesn't do dumb shit like risking his life for some stranger (for him his LI's are priority), imo more likeable...there isn't a single thing the MC has over him.

From what i remember on the school path, you are forced to kill the fat guy with the knife, which stabs the MC, the other 2 guys you can lock into a room if you choose the blue choice and later you kill the 2 rapist dudes.
On the go home path you can avoid giving the mercy kill to the soldier, but are still forced to kill the 2 rapists, or at least i don't remember getting a different choice.
Not sure if it happened because I messed with some variable at some point but yeah MC can say "0", interestingly there was no path detected right when MC said "0" (via URM) but maybe it was at the start of the scene?
Would be helpful for the dev to comment about this because honestly while some people have unfairly criticized this in the past. Having a "big moment" completely fall apart and strain the already "flimsy logic" reeeeeeeallly hurt this game for me.
A few posts in here either didn't play before the 0.40 version or are gas-lighting. Prior to this version, the scene with Ethan and his Mom was unskippable. So any response to this thread where they are saying that the objections to the scene are ridiculous because it was skippable are wrong. Better yet, it appears it is skippable, but not "avoidable", which are two different things.
Realistically, at this point the dev has indicated the future direction of this game in an unambiguous manner. Either you are ok and on board with having more content like the Ethan scene with the Mom pre-v0.40 or you aren't. The dev doesn't seem to be changing his mind on this. The skippable option doesn't change the story or the other red flags that aren't NTR, but are NTR adjacent enough to not appeal to many harem fans.
Arguing any more on the topic doesn't make sense as the path of this game has been set and won't be updated/retconned to change the current feel.

That dialogue line uses the [kills] variable in the same way name variables are used. It doesn't trigger URM because it's not triggering a path check but just substituting the variable the same way name variables are used in dialogue. You must have changed the "kills" variable to 0 manually to get that result, because there's no way to avoid killing at least the 2 guys during the car crash scene.
I'm extremely anti-NTR, and I've played this game since the initial release. I never got any NTR vibes from it, really. Dev has made it pretty clear which LIs are MC's, and which aren't. Unlike most typical harem games, this one isn't a Pokemon style "gotta catch 'em all" game.
Currently, the only LIs are Alice, Green, Amber, and Nina. MC's mom and sister will likely show up next update or two, and they will almost definitely be added to the list. Of all the currently in-game characters, there are only "love" variables for those 4.
The closest the game ever comes to NTR vibes is the option to encourage Henry to pursue Amber, which doesn't yet lead to any actual scenes between those 2, just blocks a possible scene with MC and Amber, but if you don't choose to encourage him, then Henry doesn't ever speak to Amber again. Encouraging Liam to pursue Lily only adds a couple dialogue lines, and has Liam bruised up before the car crash, and Lily appears to not be an LI, with no "love" variable.
huh i dont recall doing that and honestly i dont care enough about this game to check, even more so if the game is forcing you to kill then using "wow mc killed smh my head" during an apocalyptic scenario to further the plot, like I know they (the military) arent supposed to be painted in a good light but the way its handled is currently just bad writing.

TLDR (nobody should read it): People have been calling out this games logic from day 1 but there was at least internal consistency when it was small scale (either school or home) but know that they MC has the infection talking in his head and a military (whatever you call the force at the fort) that is seemingly more against the MC in particular than the situation at hand its borderline generic manwha and is really really hard to recommend even ignoring any NTR discussions

Wow so much vitriol about other characters in a story having relationships, you know, like people do. The existence of a possible harem does NOT mean that every female character is potentially going to be in it nor do they all automatically "belong" to the MC somehow merely for existing in the same game. The level of insecure possessiveness over fictional characters on display by some is unhealthy at best and nothing short of irrational.
To kneel to the demand of such people would hamstring so many potential stories that are completely realistic and potentially compelling, as it's entirely normal for other people to have relationships that don't involve a given individual. Harem means MULTIPLE partners, not ALL women ever laid eyes on. The sense of entitlement is extreme.
This is especially egregious considering the sense of entitlement goes beyond fictional characters to making aggressively-worded demands of the developers of games, aka the authors of stories. The characters and plot are the intellectual property of the creator, and they are not beholden to cater to the fragility-driven mandates of any members of the audience. If the story they wish to tell does not appeal to someone, that person of course has the right to choose to spend their time and money elsewhere. They're free to make suggestions and state that certain elements are dealbreakers for them and to move on if those elements remain. They do not have the right to insult and verbally abuse an author for not conforming to their very specific set of requirements. If the author were working for hire, it'd be acceptable to micromanage the product though not be abusive about it. As a mere customer, potentially one that isn't even paying for the product, they can take it or leave it and their rights end there.

I also support that idea, but not that the MC kills Ethan, but rather that Ethan sacrifices himself, to save the girls from their infected, so he dies like a hero and his last words are: Who leaves his girls in the care of the MC and tells the girls that they can go ahead and be with the MC, some time passes and they accept, they have already been in a Harem, Therefore, it will not be difficult for them to be in another one, especially with the MC Since he is the chosen one and apparently immune or adapts to the virus.
Psdt: Even though the Psychologist seems to be against it or something at the moment, I hope she also joins the Harem, among others.
