Same here
Getting a `Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml` from Defender (GoFile link)

Plese refer to this previous message in the thread.
Run it through any real antivirus and it gives nothing.
I don't know why WD doesn't like it specifically.

Damn, I tought this had disappeared.
I had the same problem for the 1.04 version (you can find a discussion about it on page 12 of this thread), where Windows Defender was triggering a false positive.

The MEGA, Mediafire and Pixeldrain likes are still the ones I put up, so no problems here either.

Check it with any other antivirus software, and you'll see it won't return anything.
But your call if you want to wait for the next update or not.
I really don't understand where this comes from, because this is not an engine created from scratch or anything, it's just a Unity export.

The reason that WD doesen't like it is because (at least the gofile download) it opens the zip file automatically after downloading it. Tried it 3 times .. every time, instead of asking me where I wanted to save the file, the zip file was opened. WD flagged it all three times. I downloaded a few other files from different threads to be sure it was only this one.

Huh. That's interesting to know. Thanks for the info.
I'm not the one that uploaded the GoFile one, so I would recommend being careful (though I've never had problems here)

In doubt, I recommend this one :

Can confirm, from gofile, pixel drain, or your mega link all shows a trojan on windows defender, specifically "Cloxer" variant.

Seems it's a think since 2016 lol

 :HideThePain:

I guess I could try re-exporting, but that doesn't seem super worth it.

To be completely fair, the !ml bit of the extension means that windows defender only 'thinks' this is a virus based on machine learning, so it's entirely possible it's a false positive. Normally with machine learning identifications I'd make a judgement call based on the context, the context of this being a publically accessible pirate site is a pretty big mark against it.

That being said, the fact that the dev is here and active, and has been for a while, is a good sign, I'd advise _only_ using the links they provided, especially if they ones they didn't are automatically extracting (this is a gigantic red flag, whoever was getting that I'd advise running a boot scan)
