Great start, Dev! Definitely a good one to play! Thanks to you, I learned few things from your game. And since you seems like a good guy, might as well give you some tips for your future update. Whether you want to take it seriously or not is entirely up to you. But here are few things that I think you could've improve in the future.
- One of my biggest concern when I play your game was that I have no idea what actually happened. On the start you show us a normal modern world, but then suddenly I saw a Sci-fi starship. And then MC went inside like it was nothing. And then after something happened, we suddenly in a futuristic Sci-fi world. I know you would like to add some mystery to the story, but it would be great if there's some kind of explanation here and there to establish the ground base for your story instead of keeping it weirdly vague like this. It would help player to understand where they actually stand in the story.
- Since you're planning for a Sci-fi game, again, you might want to explain some stuff about the lore of your sci-fi world. You could do it via glossary like City of Broken Dreamers did. Or let a character inside the game explain that to the MC. This will help players to understand about terms on your story lore that most people doesn't really understand. Ex: Inquisitor. Who are they? And what exactly their job in your world and story?
- Less doesn't mean it bad. I saw a lot of animations in this game, which is good! But there are scene that doesn't really need to be animated yet you animate it anyway. Animation for action and lewd scene is always good! But again don't over did it. Why? Because on some scene you can't help but to notice some wonkiness/weird/unnatural movement on the animation and that can really ruin the immersive when playing the game. Ex: When MC just woke-up after his death, the early moving animations is good, but you animate him while he move from laying down to sit isn't really needed and feel kinda forced that make it feel and look weird. I use HS2 myself, and I know that animation doesn't really animate MC lower part to sit or like when Flora check MC face is also kinda weird in a way. Like I said in the start, less doesn't mean that it's bad.
- I don't really want to be rude, so I'll give you one last tips. When you code the script into the game, make sure to divide long dialogue into several parts. It would be great if the dialogue doesn't have more than 2 lines. Why? Because you're making a VN game. No one really talk 4-5 line of words without stopping. It's okay to make it more clicky than make your player read a long line of dialogue in your text box.
Well, I guess that's it! I don't really do this kind of stuff to another game. But I hope this would help you out! Good luck dev! It would be interesting if we could do some cross promo in the future. But for now, I'm just a developer of a game that has been abandoned for 5 years. That will change next month so... good luck for you Dev!
