I would say the main reason for the inclusion despite the character designs being highly stylized is how atypical their features are, nose, body type, areola etc in terms of beauty standards, thus in my subjective view making them seem more realistic. Also:

tbh that's the curse of most games on this site are afflicted with (especially if they are off the beaten path). Many of my favorites are in an inescapable graveyard. With that said I think many of these are still worth playing even if they are incomplete. As a non-VN example, George RR Martin's ASOIAF are also technically
but still well worth reading despite it's status.
Yeah wouldn't surprise me. But I understand the criticism of the inclusion of the game given how stylized it is compared to the rest of the games in this thread. I'll just chalk it up to a minor blunder. Not really a hill I'm willing to die on.
