Hell nah, at this point this situation is becoming sad AF, such a great game with inmense potential ruined by the publisher/mirthal bad comunication, even if isnt Mirthal fault this sht just make this project untrusteble for future works.

Just a few steps more - and you will reinvent old terms "Balance" and "Good gamedesign".
Good game can be better with some hot scenes, bad game will not. But if all that game has - is the scenes, the game will be too boring to play.
Then there is third ancient secret - "Gameplay loop" and fourth - psycological thing "efforts expended and reward received". If there is too much efforts needed to get reward(in our case - new sexy scene) - majority of players will abandon the game. There is a few platformers here with absolutely inadequate difficulty curve and for some mysterious reasons they are abandoned.
If hot scene is too easy to get - then there is no interest in playing, just occasional fapping sessions, which tend to get boring(coz you can just visit phub or something). That is common problem for another big chunk of "games" here - especially with "have to lose to see the scene" type of "gameplay." They are boring too, because there is no actual gameplay loop, and when you have to loose to get reward(new scene) - it is not a reward anymore. But usually devs are just too stupid to do something about it. So that kind of projects tend to stagnate and die slowly - they have no skeleton(story, gameplay, etc.)
That's why gamedesign is not an easy subject.
Thats why the majority of successful games hare have all of the main component - story, gameplay loop, some challenges and then - rewards. Another mystery! But then again - there is greed factor - why to make a game, if one can milk patrons. A dream come true for many wannabe porn-game-makers. Problem is - in time they tend to stagnate too and when milk stops - suddenly no one want to give mone to degenerate shit-of-a-brain liars anymore. Difference is in time limits.
I love read some random nibbas spelling the unquestionable and absolute truth with more analysis than most "videogame experts". I remember when I was 20 when I spend time programming in a porn Discord server. I love all of you (half homo)

This really begs the question, why would you need a publisher when you're essentially a solo dev working with a contracted artist, what do you gain from being chained to a publishing contract like this? Big studios have publishers for handling the logistics of physical goods, marketing (choosing the most optimal ways to promote your specific thing) and upfront financing. In reality Aurelia doesn't need neither of these because it won't have the physical copies sent to stores, the marketing will be done through the word of mouth and online spaces (like this one), did Critical Bliss at least pay for this game? It would be hilarious if it turns out they actually didn't do jack shit and Mirth just wants to feel like a real deal so he got a "publisher" for a game that didn't need one.

As it stands now, the only competent person in this whole thing is the artist, and ironically he's 95% of the reason why you would even bother with Aurelia in the first place. Without art these games are nothing.

I'm surprised the game holds nearly 5 stars here after hundreds of comments disliking the dev.

People who are enjoying the game are not wasting their time by arguing over trivial stuff, they are probably enjoying the next thing on their list. People who don't or can't are here.

Game probably has around 30k wishlists and it's going up. Game won't be released as long as it keeps gaining wishlists, any publisher that releases the game despite this rapid increase would be stupid and I don't believe Critical Bliss is stupid. It's beyond the developers control at this point, it's going to take some time.

From a message in the dev "xitter" account the publisher is helping the game by providing more localization options (the game will count with a decent number of languages to reach a larger audience) and who really knows what other things they may be helping with.

I think(again, if you feel like asking for a source go dig it up yourself) the initial release delay from 15th to 22nd was to finish the Spanish translation. Mirthal is a Spanish native himself so it's hard to imagine they wouldn't do that language at least. Would be easy to do, too, unlike those asian languages they got listed on Steam.

Is this a joke? They couldn't find one spanish speaker to translate?
The game will have a Spanish localization, the dev just said that this specific localization would only be ready after the game release, considering how long is taking it may be ready by the time the final version finally is available.
