The heck? I haven't played 1.00 yeat so please enlighten me is this because you're comparing image to animation or something? Or why else would the dev downgrade graphics like that?

I am comparing image to animation. This scene was redone and it's animated now. However the image you see on the 0.31 wasn't exactly a still one. There was some progression and her facial was changing during it.
But what's left of it is just a small preview in the Journal in 1.00.
Not sure if any other scene was redone this way. There are reports in this thead that some of the previous scenes aren't in this version.
That's probably the reasoning behind it. But the current difference in quality between newer scenes and older ones is not something hidden.
Still kinda sad it's butchered and not utilized somehow as a bonus ingame content. The artworks like this was the reason for me to follow this project.

Once you progress far enough with Ivy/Scarlet, you should at some point get an event while checking on your garden. If you've been neglecting it, you won't see her.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. There was a change in art style midway through development.
I understand it likely saves on time, but that saved time is nullified when you go back and "demake" scenes.
I can't progress with Elizabeth, she keeps saying to wait e nothing happens.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but only one version is animated, isn't it? The old one looks like one of the stills the game had that was mentioned to be changed into an animated one.
Aurelia is one of the only few 18+ games that I played. I remember seeing Walnus' art back in the day (the botanist, if you know you know), and falling in love with his uniqueness (it is still pixel art, but done tastefully, with good animations too).
When I saw that he was working on a game project I was inmediately curious and started playing the early playtests. It is sad that some of his art was removed in the final version; they should have left them as some mementos of the developing project in the journal. But oh well, at least the project is finished, although not at the level we expected (it is still a good game in my opinion).

Tough call. Either highly detailed stills or animations that are less detailed, but fit in with the rest of the game.

Eventually talking to the brothel manager about the brothel's problems will lead to a new "problem" and after that you should get a new heart icon on one of the doors.

There's a cheat code to increase money drops. You could also just edit your save file with an online save editor to give yourself a bunch of money and not worry about it again.
I'm trying to make the gold bracelet work but it drains too much money so either its a troll item or I'm just missing something

Like many, including the OP in this train, said, that it's a comparison between animated and still. Personally, I think it's better when animated, even if it's graphically inferior. I would like to add though that "wasn't exactly a still one" is a bit deceptive as well. It was a progression of multiple still images (like any animation is as well), but in this case it definitely felt like still images, like reading a comic versus watching a cartoon. So yeah, it was exactly a still one in my opinion
