VN - Ren'Py - Away from Home [Ep.1-28] [vatosgames]

I'm updating my review after playing up to ep 14. Here's what I liked and did not like so far.

What I liked:

-Eva, Lily and especially Nora
-hot sex scenes
-good dirty talk during sex scenes
-good graphics and animations
-MC is not a cuckold
-no sharing or whoring the girls out
-POV option during sex scenes
- pregnancy is optional

What I did not like:

-dialogues can use some proof reading
-it's your typical porn story, nothing to write home about it.
-the MC seems so cocky, sometimes an asshole, a creep, a gentleman or whatever . It's hard to establish his personality
-player does not have entire control of the MC's actions and who he will have sex with

At the end of the day, it's still a porn game so do not expect a good story on this one, However, you can expect a lot of hot sex scenes with hot women. i'd easily rate it 5 stars if only the story is better so I'll just give it 4 stars.

I really enjoyed this game. I'm very grateful that the dev took the time to invest in a mosty enjoyable game. I do like that there's a lot of different mature women to choose from. I get that some or most people aren't really into "older" women, but I appreciate it because typically, the older, mature women look and represent what we could encounter in real life.

With that said, the models aren't all "natural". It's not something that really bothers me, but it is something I think about, especially when it comes to the more intimate scenes. Regardless, I don't think new players should be discouraged. There are a lot of hot scenes. Maybe the quality of the renders/animations vary from here to there, but I wouldn't say it's a terrible experience.

There was one moment in particular that I didn't care for. I don't want to go into detail about it because it does bother me a bit, but it does happen. I didn't expect it, but I suppose credit is due to the dev for creating something immersive enough to make you think.


Anyway, I digress. This game offers multiple playthroughs. The story is alright and the models look great. (I do enjoy a nice big ass on a mature woman, so that's always a five star) I hope he continues another project and sticks with mature/milfy women.

I put my money where my mouth is and proudly support this developer, his animation is flawless, and from the very opening of this game it was sexy, it had a lot of playful flirting with all the characters, which is important because to many game developers forget there making a sex game.

Those old married ladies (mom and aunt or whoever they are) sexually harrass the poor boy, being unreasonably slutty. Eve grinds at his dick, and later he apologizes for that, and lets her boss him around? What a wimp!

They look like Spanish Armenians or something, totally not my type. Younger girls like Chloe and especially Lily are more interesting (though Chloe is a slut).

The whole story doesn't look very sensible, including that sudden task from the dad.

So the story, the characters, the models aren't top class. The game is mediocre, unless you have a kink for lewd older ladies and sluts in general, and being a female-dominated wimp.

[Ep. 1-12]

Renders - Sexy and detailed...I'm not sure what engine/program is used for these character models, but they're unlike most...in a good way...great asses all around and sexy milfs just waiting to get it

Animations - Very hot and varied...main draw of this game

Story - Pretty solid, for the most part...MC grapples with shadowy organization, adjusts to life in new surroundings...characters are solidly varied

Overall - Highly recommend for the top-notch sex scenes and build-up between the MC and the mother figure

[As of Episode 12: spoilers ahead]

A game with a lot of potential but is hindred by poor choices from the dev.

THE GOOD:

The renders and characters looks very nice, the animation is pretty smooth and it appears the dev is getting better at it as the update goes.

The NTR is optional, you can choose to either have your Cousin (Cody) peep on you while you have sex with his crush and mother or not.

The story is pretty generic but not boring, and is not stalled in each update.

The songs are not played are random and kinda fits the scenes.

THE BAD:

The majority of choices don't actually matter, most of the time, rejecting a character is useless, since they will force you into a relationship with them, for example:

- The mother (Nora): you will be given a choice not to pursue her, but somehow will still end up having sex with her in episode 12, the episode 12 update without this sex scene would have been sexless and pretty short, which is probably why the dev forced this relationship, but this problem could have been easily solved by making it a dream/hallucination for those who rejected her, but the dev chose the wacky way.

- The aunt (Eva): no matter what choices you make, you cannot reject her.

- The cousin (Lily): You are forced to either love her or pretend to love her, the second choice making the MC into a total douchebag, pretty weird since he is risking his life for his policeman father which would make you think he's a good person.

- The neighbors (Sophia + Janet + Chloe + Jasmine): The few characters you can actually reject, though you are still forced into a BJ & sex scene by Chloe.



Overall I give it a 3 stars, because the bigger problems can be fixed by tweaking choices and story.

Story is decent altough the dialogues are pretty absurd at times, especially after certain choices which are not reflected or completely ignored in the way characters adress mc and vice versa.
Graphics are okay although some characters are pretty poorly made, ex the mother.
And some scenes are way too dark and grainy for my taste.

The biggest letdown however is how the choices are pretty much irrelevant and even after turning down a character continiously or "breaking up" with them, you suddently find them riding the MC's dick like nothing ever happened.
This was true for Chloe, the mother and aunt on my first playthrough.
Why even give a choice to turn someone down or break thongs with them if it's just an illusion pf choice, its beyond retarded.

The game has potential though so I'll probably try it again in the future if I can find some of these points redeemed in upcoming patches.

This is a top game. It is one of my most favorite ones. The characters are nicely developed. The family look like a real one, not only like accidently scattered bunch of people calling themselve a family. The plot goes slowly and build up enough atmosphere and sexaul tension, wich becomes later really hot. The graphic is really nice and fit to the game good. It is not a fast fapping game, but it become really hot later. Hope to see more updates soon... 5 of 5 stars.

This game's writing is... it's not good. Art is fine, animation is fine, the game works and doesn't seem broken, but the story is entirely unrewarding and made up of all the same tropes we've seen a hundred times before. It isn't trying to accomplish anything new or interesting.

It's an okay experience.

I understand it's a fetish so it would be unfair to lower my rating because of this, but I would've enjoyed the game more if there was less of a focus on husbands being in the background of h-scenes/being talked about during sex. I like the idea of fucking a married woman but their husband being in the same room or being a subject of the dirty talk isn't really all that attractive to me. But to each their own, especially considering the dev seems to be mindful and put in choices to avoid most of that stuff - it's definitely a big part or maybe even most of the plot though, so it's kinda like playing a FPS and complaining about having to shoot guns.

There's the good 'ol "maid/landlady/friend" incest censorship thing going on that obviously translates to "mom/aunt/sister", but that can be patched so no problem there. The bigger issue is that games like this kind of lend themselves to a slow-burn type of plot. From the beginning, most characters are willing to throw themselves at you without much of a second thought (which can be good in certain games) - except for the mom, which is morally understandable but in the sea of sluttiness that is the rest of the characters, it adds a weird dissonance. The mafia plot also seems pretty half baked, there's not really enough of an explanation why a father would put his inexperienced son into a delicate and dangerous position where he's investigating a criminal organization - he expresses some misgivings in a later chapter but it still seems strange. There's some potential with a little more development, but I would suggest Midnight Paradise over this any day of the week.

Everything else is pretty good, I wouldn't call the renders on par with some of the most popular VNs but the animations are decent enough and overall it feels polished. Probably has the potential to be a great game if you don't read too far into the plot and enjoy the fetishes the story contains.

i love this game, the character models look really great, and the animations are pretty good as well, the stories and relationship with the mom and the aunt are by far the most interesting thing in the game, there are some really good moments and i hope to see more.

Can't wait for new episodes. Excellent job really good looking animations. The story is good but could be more original, u know another game with only one dude in entire town with cock. But u perfectly handled teasing parts, so when u play it's really hard to stop.

This is actually been a really good game. The models are decent, the story is interesting, its well written for the most part. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is cus I'm seriously salty over Nora, she's an absolute tease. 11 chapters in and she will blue ball you forever. Like, honestly, its just creepy to keep chasing her at that point, she's made it clear she doesn't really want to "cross that line" and forces you to be a total sleazebag for her to still not really be interested.

Okay, extremely salty. Anyway, game besides her is super good.

A very cool game as always. The story is fluent, the female characters are beautifully made. A new small, independent section for Christmas has been released. I recommend that you carve it too. But the game itself is great in one word.

The game has good graphics and story involving the slow teasing and sensible direction of story. The developer of game is quite active with recent release about Mrs. Claus. Looking forward to more content in the upcoming releases.

I had to think twice before trying this VN because of its model, not the best decision i have ever made

Pros :

• STORY, progressing steadily, not too fast and not too slow. Plenty of interesting and risky scenarios and it made me wanting for more.
• CHARACTERS, not gonna lie i had to adjust and made me comfortable first because i've never encounter this type of model before. I had to say tho the girls are beautiful and pretty. especially Lily and Maid or Mom if you use the incest patch
• SCENES, plenty of animated scenes on the side for all the horndogs and some of it are risky s*x which i die for
• BACKGROUND, pretty great

So far, i had a great time playing this VN, plenty of risky action made this VN one of the best for me.

My review will sound harsh but it's because I have high expectations when it comes to this kind of games and I have to say that I've found this one utterly boring.

Even though the story itself sounded kinda interesting, the plot is rather uninteresting. This is just a Meet & Fuck with a so-called background feature

Unfortunately, the characters do not have any distinct personality and it is difficult to get really attached to any of the protagonist.
The MC is a manipulative jerk and there is no valid reason to understand his behavior...other than his hornyness.

The problem is due to a writing that sorely lacks of inspiration and the explanation of situations are often far-fetched (eg: micro penis + lack of testosterone = unable to procreate ...) What the fuck ?!
And all the housewives are neglected by their husbands....how convenient....

Although the characters have good renderers, all the young girls are skinny and the MILFs have almost the same luscious shapes in the right places.
The sex scenes are pretty hot, hence the thrid the stars.

I enjoyed this game. What makes it stand out is the aspect that the protagonist loves to bangs housewives behind their husbands' backs, which is a cool setting. The plot with the cousin (or childhood friend) with her younger friends is a nice touch for a little variety.

That being said, don't expect a super developed plot. The women pretty much jump in the MC's cock with little to no hesitation. The mafia subplot feels a bit unnecessary, it's pretty much there just as an excuse for sort of conflict for the protagonist. The sex scenes could use some more variety as well (lots of doggy styles).

Still, I recommend this game. Download the harem/walkthrough mod by Zoey Harem as well, and the incest patch, if you're into this sort of thing.

There are tons of sex scenes and they are HOT!
The story and the situation is really nothing new or serious. We've seen it in many other games. But what makes this game different from other VN's is the artwork.
Animations are smooth
Characters are beautiful
a solid 3/5

Beautiful art. Fast paced story.
Enjoyed re-playing to try the various paths. I've played a few games of this type and while this follows some of the usual tropes it is still a fun game.
I hate too many male characters but they are okay in this game.
Looking forward to Nora's scenes
