Vatos wanted to change Lily's looks because he felt she looked too skinny, almost anorexic, compared to the other female characters. Some fans believe he also did it to avoid getting in trouble with Patreon, because she may seen as underage and could cause problems for his work.
This is what the upcoming update will be about:
-Remasters of Episode 2, 3, 6
-Lily-Chloe threesome at the end of Episode 8
-A visual update for Lily in Episode 1, 4, 7, 11, 14, 17

If I'm not mistaken, that error is because a specific DLL file cannot be found. Have you updated Windows and your graphics drivers? That usually fixes that kind of problem.

Lily has certainly had a glow up with THAT body - damn but not sure it fits the narrative. She is supposed to be the naive teenager who does not know about sex and unaware of her appeal to men but lets be real if she looked like that she would be well approached by now and used to attention of men. Chloe certainly is and even the vicars daughter is extremely aware and confident in her appeal with her own stacked body despite being the one who would make the most sense of being sexually repressed and naive.

Her model really needed a visual update. She’s not skinny anymore but she’s still nowhere near Nora or Eva in terms of thickness. You’ll see that in the upcoming update.
Some may like the new look. I liked it, to be honest. But I can understand if some may dislike a visual change to a character during an ongoing game. Regardless of whether we like it or not, updating her model was 'necessary'.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Lily's visual update either, for the reasons people already brought up. She doesn't look bad by any means, she just looks too similar to the rest of the cast. Also, it'll be way harder to sell you on her naive, inexperienced personality when she looks like a sex bomb and a solid 2 years older.
Another thing is that her model will be VERY inconsistent for anyone picking up the game and not fully aware of development history. We got Ch1 remake (modern/thin), then Ch2 & 3 remake (modern/thicc) then Ch 4 & 5 (old/thin) then Ch 6 (modern/thicc again), then Ch 7 - 28 (modern/thin again) then Ch 29 (modern/thicc again). This character will be pretty much a shapeshifter

Well if the dev says is was "necessary" then we call all read between the lines and respect his decision. The trade off will be worth it for the threesome with Chloe alone lol (we have been teased that one for years). Ideally in that scene we will get to see more of her in action - ideally this time with a third person view as she i think is the only LI without one of those (in fact i am not sure you can even see her face in any of her sex scenes to date - she could be anyone in hers haha). Make her preggers as well Vatos my friend, our giga chad MC is building a baby bump army here!

Update
Hey everyone! I wanted to share the new main menu image and also talk about the upcoming update. Development is going well, so the release might be around Dec 22-23 but like always, those are not the final date and can change.
After this update, I’m not planning to remaster full episodes again. If I do any remastering in the future, it would only be for specific scenes like Sophia’s scenes in episode 4 and Eva’s scenes in episode 7. Those are important moments so new graphics and better animations might suit them better. It wouldn’t take much time but I’m not planning to do this until the game is finished.
We’re getting close to the end. I’ll share more information about the remaining episodes after episode 29. I’ve also created a Steam page, it is currently under review. If it gets approved, I’ll share more details about that as well.
