So we are 3 and a half years into development now, and the game still feels like a demo that was made in a few months. Yet, the dev is seemingly constantly posting updates on CI-EN. To those who have been actively following this game, do you know what is taking the dev so long? And what is the dev even posting in those update posts?

No disrespect to the dev of course. I am just genuinely curious about how he can post so often and yap so much without having made any significant progress.
Yes, he is busy having sex.

i think its a mixed of the dev getting lost in the sauce and adding random stuff before he properly finishes the game and also releasing a new version thats so buggy it takes him another month or two to just fixing it

He's not exactly a master at programming and planning, but he has people paying him for this, so he has to make some effort to appease them.

I personally believe that their project has gotten outside of their scope. If you back trace through their Cien updates, you can see the game make drastic re-iterations that change something core about the game and even the developer themselves have admitted that there are features that have simply escaped their grasp (the downed struggle animation for example). At the same time, and on a better note, it seems they're doing that to flourish their skills. On their twitter, you can see them interacting with some other game devs too, so maybe this game is more a dev playground to expand their skills more than a product that would follow a usual development cycle. I don't expect this game to be finished soon so you're better off gooning to the new animations each month rather than holding your breath. (Also, each update, if you buy the 1000 Yen option, comes with an animated gif that they worked on so that probably cuts into the solo developer time budget)

The bed sex with the grey thing reminds me of a very old flash game. Instead of an anime girl there was some mature woman and the dude was a vomit green fat guy with warts. There was even an option called Sloppy Seconds.

I know exactly what flash game you were talking about though I forgot its name. It was created around the early 2010s and from memory alone the art style was similar to this game. I wonder if the dev was the same one who created that game.

It's weird, he had a full game done before and its still 5 times the content this one has... after 3 and a half years

Man, this game still isn't done yet? Every time I see this dev's updates he's always working on something he finished months or years ago yet for some reason is still working on it. This situation he's got himself into is a mix of feature creep and refusing to move on.

Yeah no. I think I'll check on this thread again in another 3 years.

Funny how infinite ammo exploit still works.

if someone wants to know how to do it: each time you swap to a firearm you get magazine worth of ammo (e.g. 10 bullets for handgun), you can do it as soon as you get the knife.
