Choices! Everyone (almost) wants them, but significant choices slow down development and mean that releases don't contain what a player wants, because there wasn't enough time to cover all those choices, or the releases take for...ev...er to come out [see BaDIK].

But it seems that a significant number of posters here don't realize that... or they just don't care - they want their choices and they want them yesterday. I saw one idiot who claimed that the developer wasn't developing.

I guess that's what you get when you have a forum dedicated to pirates. It's a great place to learn about and obtain games - not so much for learned discourse.

well kinetic novels are quite popular too and some vns have choices but those don't matter much/at all besides few important choices and basically are kinetics.

The point is that too many choices bog the game down.

I have no idea if you are one of them, but several posters have complained that the last release had nothing in there for them. Guess why that was? Because they chose routes that weren't included in the release.

Of course, the developer could include every route in every release, but then the releases would drag out further than they do.

No, I suspect you play the game with one hand, mostly to hold down the <Ctrl> key. Who needs those funny-looking letters cluttering up the screen.

With some games it seems to be a race as to whether the developers or the players will die first before the games are completed. As an older chap, I'm not joking at all.

True... I also noticed something in the last 2 years with this 2023 and 2024, developers who made good games started to disbelieve that games of this style nowadays can no longer be supported by Patrons in any way, due to the exaggerated amount of games that have been falling every day here and on other sites of the same genre.
This has become like a virus, with no cure, many games released and most barely get past the initial chapter, since no one wants to invest in this type of content anymore.... There are very few developers left who still want to continue creating erotic games, the ones that are left do it because they like it and don't care about patron support, but few have time to make good updates, since they are in no hurry due to lack of time and because they are offering something for free.

1.) First of all this is just last part of the version 0.1.1., there is much more content available, but it's not chronologically set up yet, but if you would actually visit this thread and see leaked posts from Patreon, you would know it.

2.) Second of all, I took time off (wasn't charging for two months) cause I was burnt out once I had fired storywriter and issued last update where I did everything by myself and had little sleep. Also it was hot summer here, so instead of sweating in my office rendering I was chilling in our pool drinking cuba libre, playing football, visiting cinemas and clubs with friends, having fun with nephews, visiting ex-wife, visiting real properties I rent and hang out with tenants etc., during all of that I was so much looking forward to your future comments being pissed off...

However, in the meantime I've established great new workflow utilising LLMs and other AI sollutions to be actually one man team not being dependant on anyone anymore. Planning, preparing 3D art, rendering, video editing, sound design, scripting and coding, everything is done by me (little help here and there where I can achieve to be more productive). Creating 3D games is my passion and I would do it even without receiving any money from Patreon just in much slower pace. So, you don't have to worry about game being abandoned.

and regarding the fact that you work alone and fired the one you hired, you can take a couple more people before hiring, you need to give them tasks and deadlines, if you managed to give them a probationary period, and if not, then say that you are not suitable and that's it

I myself started playing with the download where the party ended with the hero fucking girls in the dorm, this scene suddenly ends, they don't show how he arrived, how he entered the house, but they immediately show where Erica is in the pool and the main character is standing upstairs, and a little further there are Lara and Tony, the question is, what were they doing, he seemed to have left during the day? And this whole update lasted 2 minutes and you also added, in fact, not an update, but photos from parts 1 and 2 and a little from part 3 of the party and that's it and you took 5-10 maybe dollars for it, well, those who are your fans say the update is cool, super, you are cool, it's clear and so there are fans, but your update is sluggish and you stretch it into what parts will it be like in the Supernatural series, 12 parts of the party? Everybody can make one angle render shot load various pre-made poses on time frame and hit render 30 renders in few minutes. Bad lighting, bad shaders, clunky amateur animations, weird facial expression, no post-process of images, no engagement... I could go on. It's not about quantity, but quality. But just fact you bring this up, I've realised some of you guys can't really tell the difference...

And if you don't see difference in quality of renders, animations + sound effects in my game compared to one you're mentioning... I'm actually stunned you're even hanging out in this forum. Just go and support him, forget about this game. It's absolutely ok, if you get dopamine rewards in your brain playing those games, but I don't... at all.

Its ok if you have a level of perfectionism regarding the visuals. But you dont need to imply that readers who are in for the story and not so much for the art should not be at f95. Anyhow, thanks for the indepth insight into your thoughts and your level of appreciation of your readers. I guess you're the "My way or the highway" type...

Got it. Just saying that i personally usually prefer the pareto principle, like 80% quality in 20% of the time, as i tend to not spend as
much time viewing indivudual renders, so the effort goes to waste in some kind.

A bit counterintuitive. You need a negative score (at least -9?) To be on the strict daddy path, where MC sets the rules insteas of pleasing each of her whims. Then you need to help her twice.
