Pleevy holding "Phenomenal Cosmic Power", but instead of itty bitty living space instead has "I can't focus for shit!" problems which I can relate to.
I don't know how else to put it. It's not that I cannot focus...when I can focus on things, oh boy can I focus. When I can't, there's no sense in even trying. And sometimes, I am in the middle. I have not measurement or functional differentiators to single out specific things, or to analyze the "good" and try to apply to the "bad." Maybe the genie is a great example...when there's a wish...I have all the power in the world. Otherwise...All I can do is goof off!
As someone who (while hopefully not giving away too much anonymity here) writes, the only advice I can give to make the process easier would be to "break things into intervals". By this I mean, sit back, re-analyze what you want to write about first (character, setting, dialogue, or conflict), and just focus on that. If it takes awhile, so be it! Trust me, when you try to rush dude, your not gonna have a good time lol. Might lose interest all together. Ya Gotta look at it as more of a hobby, then a job.
Also, getting a second opinion on something can help. Perhaps share your ideas and asked them whether something can work or not. In conclusion all I'm trying to say is... pick a plot you think is best, consider how the characters will handle it, who you want to be involved (it does not have to be everyone, this isn't Game of Thrones here), where it takes place, how the conflict will be resolved, and what do the characters do by the end (its porn so they probably will just fuck anyway

). I hope that helps a little.
Well...problem 1: I'm not a writer. It was never my strong suit. I school, I was in the high percentiles in math, not language/writing/reading. I mean..I was competent there, I'm not a dunce...just it is one of the strangest things to me, that my role in this whole thing has become "writing." Normally, at best, I am an adapter/editor when it comes to literary content.
Problem 2: Being the only one writing content is depressing. Because I don't get to have that unique first time experience with the content, because, well, I made it. So even if I am not rushing, and following all the general literature beneficial suggestions, even if I look at it as a hobby, (Which I totally am. No way this is job level for me) I still run the risk of losing interest, because (selfishly) I don't get to benefit from it the same as the former me that stumbled a horny butt into this in the first place, when it was all on someone else.
Problem 3: Re, Feedback - Two part: First, Sharing risks spoilers, which, in the light of what i was just saying, I don't want to force on anyone, just as I would not have wanted them forced on me, and Second, the only place I can get feedback is here. This is not something I can talk about over dinner, ya know what I mean?
Problem 4: I get an F- when it comes to the characters and their motives and so on...the hilariously amusing thing is my total lack of STH lore...like...It's BAD how little I know right now. Those in the DM's can probably attest to how bad its been...the questions I have had to ask that must seem like the most basic of things that I bet all the rest of you know...
Pretty sure that's what Pleevy (& the other 'developers') have been doing not only here but probably in PM's.
I think this is the first time I have been referred to as a Dev...look at me...I'm blushing...
There has been many discussions on how to progress certain elements of the game (e.g Mystery/Central City) which I'm sure ideas have been taken & noted in a special 'ideas folder' for reference
For example - the car, it's been suggested that once you gain access to it, then you can take the car to the Mall/Beach instead of the Bus (saving Rings), and new locations can open up - I believe I even suggested the possibility of taking car to the Parks carpark for some 'dogging' action based on Cream's progress
So as to not spoil, but feed the birds: There are plans for the car, above what little exists now.
For Central City - Possible locations in the Office block have been suggested for events that could be added - Broom Cupboard, Offices, Tearoom, Warehouse (actually don't think I mentioned that one) - even a 'Product research & development department'
- just the problem of how to 'join-the-dots' and create the necessary storyline.
For all we know Pleevy (& others) may already have started 'breaking things down', possibly already thinking on what options would be available when using the car, what will happen at Central City - type of locations etc
Hey, don't get their hopes up by giving me too much credit...better to set a low bar and let me wow them than a high bar where I end up disappointing them.
Of course the developers can't really post EVERY suggestion here or how they're planning to progress as it'll be one hell of a spoiler - and until the storyline been produced the graphic developers can't really continue with the graphical scenes required (although it's been a little bit quiet on that front - we don't know how the other existing characters scenes/graphics are progressing - Tail/Knuckles etc ??) We don't want to push too hard for regular updates, it's been done in the past (ie 'When the next update'/'why no update' etc) & the other developers just gave up and THOSE developers were working with existing content, while 'our' developers are probably adjusting existing content while trying to come up with new stuff - so it's gonna take even longer
Yeah...Foxy knows what I'm talking about here. Just as I don't want to be pressured, I also don't want to pressure anyone working on the graphics...but I will say that is a BIG part of whats needed to get to the next major updates.
