In my opinion, everyone who has directly contributed to this new version should be listed in the opening post for a new thread. Just divide the list up into different categories, such as Artists, Developers, Designers, Script Writers and so on. And lets not forget to give credit to the original creators of BSC and the variation that was used as a base to make this Remake.

I agree it would be nice to list all contributors to the game & how they helped.... The problem (& I'm sure I'll be corrected) is that afaik on F95 one person HAS to do the first post, they have to be classed as the actual developer of the game & they have to release at least a demo of the game.

The problem is we've all seen someone saying they're taking over the game & then give up after a while.. maybe due to peer pressure, maybe due to the task in hand or real life gets in the way

As you may've seen earlier - while some of us are willing to assist in some way IN OUR FREE TIME - no-one is willing to take on the responsibility of being the main developer... yet

I also don't need/care about credit. If credit is being given, I want it henceforth to be to "He Who Must Not Be Named."

If it is seen as necessary/important enough, use my humorous comment in a functional way. Rename it "Babysitting Cre-make" or "Bunny Sitting Cream" a Shameless ripoff of (Everything this has labeled to it)...change the Loading Screen Images and use whatever version exists at the time as the "demo." Then, it really just boils down to how/who gets classed as a developer...which, like Foxytails mentioned...is one of those key holdups.

I think, you just hold on to it for now. Since I'm only focusing on PC exclusively for now.

I apologize in advance if anyone already had an idea for the "mystery ending" thing, but I got curious and thought of a quick scenario for how it could play out. You know, just to throw it out there . I'm unsure how people would like the idea, since it's not original and borrows a little (probably more than a little) from the comics. This could probably fit into the second week proposal I've been hearing about lately.

How about this:

1. Sonic gets a call from "Vanilla" asking him to babysit for another week. He doesn't think much of it at first, but feels that something is off when she hangs up not asking to talk to Cream (who also wanted to talk to her). Cream is a little more suspicious about it though.
2. Amy comes over (scheduled event during the week) wanting to talk to Sonic about more event's happening, seeing if he noticed anything, and how things might be getting worse. *More lewd scenarios could happen this way. Such as NPC's mentioned around town performing sexual acts in different places. For Example: Sonic and Cream go to the movie theater and it is obvious that people are getting it on in the back rows. Depending on RWC, Sonic & Cream could decide to stay or go, and how it would effect their time there. I have other examples but that is one event that could happen*
3. Sonic could mention these situations if he encounters them (If you left the house at anytime during the second week, cause at this point more people are affected by this "lewd virus", leading to complete exhibitionism), if not he just says: not really. Amy presents evidence of sexual acts that have been happening all over the city, these pictures/videos unsurprisingly turns them on which leads to sex right in the living room (Cream catches them or watches) or bedroom (Just the two of them) depending on RWC.
4. She leaves telling them she will investigate further, but is getting close to the bottom of it. You can't call her after this point. Everything goes normal from here though.
5. On the last day, Cream wakes up Sonic telling him Vanilla hasn't returned and she's worried about Ms. Amy. Sonic can't get in contact with any of them on the phone, and decides to go to Amy's house with Cream in tow. After looking awhile Cream finds some notes left by her mentioning a possible airborne like virus, that seemed to start around one building location in a nearby city; "Meteotech". Sonic thinks Eggman is involved and wants to head to the city center immediately
6. From here...I couldn't pick a good scenario that might work too be honest lol. I only had it to where Robotnik wanted to do a Metal Virus thing again, and something went wrong. Amy was kidnapped, but freed herself about the same time Sonic arrives. They meet up later, save Vanilla and her colleagues. She makes a joke about her possibly being pregnant again due to all the sexual activity that went down, Eggman "decides" to release an airborne cure that would reverse the effects of the lewd virus, Sally still likes to sleep around though jk. Eggman says, the cure will take full affect after 24 hours though.
7. Sonic and the others return to Vanilla's house, where she still wants to give him a "reward", and asks for Amy's help in the matter. She agrees...threesome . This extra part only happens if RWC is high, and moral is positive+. If you "lewd the bunny", Vanilla would turn and ask Cream "What would she like to do?". Three chicks at once for Blue Blur achievement unlocked.
8. That's all folks!

Side Note: Robotnik wasn't trying to recreate the Metal Virus, he was trying to create a personal Cologne to make him irresistible to the opposite sex (since he's "undesirable to all possible genders"), and it got out of hand.

Might work, but not with Eggman. I believe it's mentioned in the prologue that Eggman is dead or is made a non-actor in some other way - it's why Sonic takes the babysitting job in the first place, because simply being a hero doesn't pay bills.

Possibly someone at Vanilla's company fucked up with the cologne?

Played the new version and, highkey, I want to see more in-game art like this if it absolutely has to be AI-generated:



I like how it's basically just a remaster/refined version of the original art. Perhaps using a Cream the Rabbit LORA, and maybe using a LORA that matches the style of one of the comic/game artists, we can get some pretty nice-looking sprites. Granted I'm sure others are more down for the semi-realistic art style than I am, so I'm not gonna knock on the current AI sprites.

Interesting and quite a bit indepth - I personally think it's just a little bit too much for a sideplot to program in but hey - I'm not a proper developer - it's just seems a lot to alter the main game code to include and to be honest 'going a bit off topic'.

The game is mainly you & Cream - not solving a mysterious event

I don't know what Fuzzybunny32/the BSC Dev Group original idea was going to be (it's mentioned in the code) but we do know the following facts -

> We know (during the mysterious cutscenes) that 'incidents are happening more frequently' and 'the timing can't be a coincidence'
- So what's the event & what timing is involved ??
> In the other mysterious event, 'a new factor has entered the equation' and 'the anomalous events are no longer localized'
- Whats the factor and why has it spread. Not at the park now - to the suburbs perhaps, & could it be Sonic &/or Cream thats the new factor ?
> We would eventually get to drive the Camerro, taking Cream with us to Station Square & Vanilla will tell us everything that 'she's trying to do'.
- Could it be that Vanilla is trying to use Mochi resources to stop these incidents somehow, ? & why is Cream important
> We know she's the CEO of the Mochi-Mochi headquarters & they deal in Sex toys & supplies
- They supply stuff to encorage more sex
> Rouge works at the store & is also the troop leader in charge of Girlie Scout Division 12 of which 'Marine is her number one scout who sells the most cookies with biggest profit'
- Both are sex maniacs... Maybe (here's a thought) the population is dropping/dying & Vanilla trying to get more girls/women pregnant to increase population ??
> At the end of the week when Vanilla comes home (depending on ending) she's 'disappointed' with the trip & 'doesn't want to talk about it'
- Whatever she's trying to do isn't working - or taking too long ?

I think we shouldn't think too much into this (yeah yeah I know, this post of mine contridicts that) - there's too many unknowns to come up with a proper subplot, maybe just come up with something that closes the storyline somehow or maybe just drop it all together as it's not important to the gameplay.

I know I did come up with a possible subplot that could cover some of these points & also helps increase Creams stats quicker (it involved a Glitched computer game & subliminal messages) but even now I think it may involve too many changes to the existing code

Oh darn it, I knew I should of went with a new or adjacent villain. Originally I thought maybe Metal Sonic could of been involved where he disguised himself or something, or Cream gets kidnapped towards the end of the week. But having Vanilla's company be involved makes a good bit of sense. I could workshop an angle like that too.

That's ok, it was just fun to think about, and I thought I share the idea. But you're right, maybe the idea should be scrapped altogether, since it feels like a loose thread. Adding a second week would add on to the existing code anyway right? (not that this will happen, but it could make it more interesting). I thought this would lead to more exhibitionistism in the game with Cream and others... actually, that might be too much . You know what, forget what I said lol

Actually adding a 2nd week isn't as hard, in fact I believe Xaverion said he may look into it (FYI Xaverion, yeah it was me )
...even without a lot of knowledge of renpy I managed a way to add an extra week to the game, using a unused collectable (the business card) & making a phone call to Vanilla (something that was already in the code)

It took a grand total of 24 lines, some of which were already in the game where about half of them just needed a little alteration/editing, to make a concept of how it could be done - I guess more experienced renpy users could come up with a better way

I only have four suggestions / minor corrections to your draft:

Line 56 was:

if you change it to:

You don't need to bother to update DAY_NAMES. (For readers unfamiliar with modulo, it's basically 'what's the remainder after dividing this number by another number', so day 8 % 7 = 1 = Monday).

And if you change line 78:

return f"{self.NUM_SPELL[remaining]} more {day_str}"

To:

if len(self.NUM_SPELL) > remaining:
    return f"{self.NUM_SPELL[remaining]} more {day_str}"
return f"{remaining} more days"

In this way, if in the future you'd want to extend time further, you don't need to continue updating NUM_SPELL. If it falls outside the bounds of the array, it'll just print something like "30 more days"

Considering someone would have to invent a significant amount of new story to finish the 'mystery' I vote scrapping it as fleshing out literally anything else that already exists would be more productive

The investigation story in the game could be a way to extend the game.

Something like Vanilla calling Sonic asking to "stay another week" because of these investigations that may have reached her and thus prevent her from returning home, momentarily.

Novaca IMHO I think that was the orginal intention, by calling Vanilla & she asks you to bring Cream to Station Square/Mochi headquarters to 'tell you everything' could've been a way to extend locations and introduce more characters/events .
We just don't have any idea how they planned to continue the story, just the facts we get from the existing game to come up with our own ideas - and everyone could have their own ideas on how it could play out

In this timeline Sonic & friends saved the world but now out of work... Could the 'timing' be the anniversary of the saving the world ? - maybe one of the 'friends' is causing trouble to get the freedom fighters back into work ??

I've thought about a lot of things, like using this Cosmo story as a way to increase the game by up to 21 days. If you make "x" achievements until day 14, that would be like "defeating her" and then in those last 7 days, everything would be reset and you could choose who to be with (that's where the suggestions of a gay romance with Tails come in, or my own suggestion of giving more options with Marine and Rouge)

I was also thinking about translating the game into Brazilian Portuguese, but then I think I'll have to study more about RenPY
