I see, I hadn't bothered going back and replaying that week to see what Ava's event included, the previous Ava one had already gotten a bit lewd so I figured it would be possible that event on the 18th would've opened the can of beans for Ava.In this specific example, I needed Jason to know about MC's situation with the mafia, so I made the conversation mandatory at some point in the game. If you didn't have the conversation before, it needed to be at this point. But by missing Ava's event, you didn't lose any scenes (at most a few stat points), so I don't see any problem. Even so, since then, I've avoided making important conversations optional.
My problem with that excuse is that during these first weeks in the game, there isn't even a factor of time during the day. Some days are very long where the character goes and does 4 maybe even 5 different events with multiple characters. And then you have day 18 where we don't really do anything other than train security at work and then sneaking into the rival company, which then leads to the decision of either Ava or Jason. My view on it is that since it's not sandbox at that point, I don't see why the character couldn't just have gone and visited Ava and then had the conversation with Jason after, it just seems a bit unnecessary since there isn't really a concept of time in the game at this point.
