Your problem isn't specific to Bad Memories, it's some issue with any game using newer versions of Ren'Py. So you should be asking this in the General Troubleshooting section, not a game thread. You'll find numerous other threads there about people having issues with newer versions of Ren'Py, which may be useful for your situation.

Just for test sake: did you tried to get a virtualizer (VMWare Player or Virtual Box, both can be obtained for free), install a bare OS inside (W10 or even Seven, minimum installation but for graphic drivers and virtualization tools, you don't even need to crack/register the OS installation), then launch the game from within the virtual machine?
You can even do that with a Linux if you prefer...

I use this trick at work to get rid of some corporate constraints (in particular belonging to a NT domain) for some very specific tests... Obviously, it's not the most comfortable way to play such a game, but it's a workaround to avoid being forced to either reinstall everything or to change your machine... And it's free, but some downloads and work.

This game maybe gets an update like twice a year. At the rate its going you're better off looking into something else.

The developer/author works on multiple games (listed on the OP) - and they swap games back and forth, so each takes awhile to update.
If you want a quick turn-around, this is not the game for you!!

Most of the animations are done, the important ones^^
I'll finish the rest of them when all the scenes (renders) are done, so I can focus on finishing the scenes for now.
I'm making good progress on the scenes, but I still have no official eta yet. As I've mentioned before, it will be a smaller update this time, and I'm not sure how many of the planned scenes I'll put in this one.
Nonetheless, it won't take that long anymore

You could simply have checked the first page, clicked on the patreon link, and looked at the date on the last post, which was two days ago. Even without suporting, the first few lines mention the dev having worked on new animations.

Have you tried playing it using renpy launcher?

Sooo, in case anyone in the future gets the same issue, I'll post this here (though very little people actually read through threads apparently)
I thought there were some missing pics. I was just playing through and I have a scene right now with, in the corner, a message stating

Image 'd10night21' not found

Image 'd10night22' not found

Game still run though, it's not an error message or anything, so it doesn't block progression.
It's Ellie's variant on who goes first on Day 10's night scene. Jada's variant has it's images fine, apparently.
Turns out, it's caused by the Sancho mod. Without mod, both pics are there as normal, but with it, for some reason they're missing. Weird.
