Do you know how long it takes to render on a decent rig it can take up to 20 mins on 1 set that depends on lighting, props, cam, etc. If they are doing animations double that. So to do this full time, then honestly any interrupts then yeah.

Mostly, because they work on their games by themselves, without anyone's help. There is no big company with unlimited sources and a large number of people working under their command.
It's easier to get excited about your work, but you're also prone to being easily distracted by it....
According to Steam, Update 0.7 was on 25 September 2021 and Update 0.7.5 was on 31 May 2022 (8 months total). After 9 months, Steam's last post says the next update will be next month. In summary, if we are lucky enough to get one update per year.
Reccy's a busy, busy lady. And there's a lot of things that aren't BM that require her attention.
Because most of them are trying to squeeze game development into whatever free time they can scrounge up between their actual jobs and whatever social lives they might have. So the moment they have issues with their real job or stuff happens in their lives, it hurts development badly. And if they do give up all pretense of personal time or relaxation, it tends to lead to burnout which prevents them from doing much to finish the game anyway.
I'm sure she's occupied with real things like everyone else. My replay was about the update intervals based on what we know up to this point. Nothing more.
Facts, many people think that all the devs that take time to release updates are lazy or are milking (and the truth is that many are not even doing very well on patreon) when the truth is that they are people like us who they have their life and their problems, that lack of empathy towards many devs bothers me, but what can be done, the average user of this forum is plain dumb
well unless gets few grands from supporters monthly then needs to have day job too to pay expenses (rent, food, ...........) and before 1st release has to get top end pc and assets etc.

Well last year (or was it the year before?) his computer broke, so that put things on hold for developing the game.
At a decent frame rate (60fps) you're talking about 60 renders for every second of animation. I'll let you do the math, but it's a bit more than "double".
Now, add the regular hustle and bustle of everybody else's life on top of that, and you have it in a nutshell!
