This dev i can see that, but i cannot say the same for some others...Dev actually tries to get better, so he improves with practice and experience.
So each one of his games is better than the previous ones

I'm enjoying Barbarian Chronicles quite a lot I must say, because it's more complex in terms of game mechanics which I am still refining.EpicLust,
Love your games
among all of your games released, which one did you personally enjoyed making the most?
Is it the absolute plethora of available puns that did it for you or designing the new tribe management mechanics?I'm enjoying Barbarian Chronicles quite a lot I must say, because it's more complex in terms of game mechanics which I am still refining.
Both!Is it the absolute plethora of available puns that did it for you or designing the new tribe management mechanics?
What are you talking about? There is no "protection". I have not changed anything to renpy's standard code for saves.can anyone help me on how to disable save/load protection? i edited my save file but can't load it, can someone share the script to disable this annoying protection?
How exactly did you edit it? Sounds like you clobbered it and that is why it refused to load.can anyone help me on how to disable save/load protection? i edited my save file but can't load it, can someone share the script to disable this annoying protection?
this is exactly the expected behavior.How exactly did you edit it? Sounds like you clobbered it and that is why it refused to load.
Edit: a search finds that the Android Renpy port seems to have protection against loading saves from other platforms. I couldn't find why, but likely is that saves contain some platform dependent portions and Android guards against that.
Your reference also explains why I haven't seen that before. Most games don't ship Renpy 8.1 yet.this is exactly the expected behavior.

if the save file is from a different device, the user is warned and can choose to use the file or not.
if the file has been modified, it will not load at all.
however, i have now changed my Ren'Py version to show a separate message regarding modified save files. the original Ren'Py versions do not have this and instead only show the message regarding save files from other devices.
Hopefully, Steam doesn't recognize them, I was hoping no one would notice...Its nice to see a young Eskel and Dijkstra hanging out at the tavern;

yeah, this one explains a lot but I found in some thread that explain you to edit the .py script from TRUE to FALSE and then you can just load it like old version renpy, but gosh my brain can't remember the line and which one to changes.this is exactly the expected behavior.

It's caution when you load saves from other devices or edited.What are you talking about? There is no "protection". I have not changed anything to renpy's standard code for saves.
