First of all , thank you arclegend09 for telling me about it.Same thing happened to me. Try Sepherix's solution, it worked for me
that's actually an extremely bad excuse. skeletal animation , with devs that know what they're doing , is pretty much alot faster to do than full blown sprite work.If I remember correctly the problem with that game was the time it took to make anything for it because of the skeletal animation, he said in a post on newgrounds (although he didn't said which game) that most of the time the art was ready, but the dev couldn't put it into the game as fast as he would like. Now this BBS uses sprite animation, so it is easier to work with.
Depends on the nature of the skeletal animation. Making a fancy rig takes longer than doing one raster animation, but making further animations with that rig takes less time than with raster. Of course, then there's the problem that bone based animation kinda looks awful unless you do a lot of angles and tricks, so at a certain point raster starts to look appealing just for the fact that you can just "make an animation" and be done with it.that's actually an extremely bad excuse. skeletal animation , with devs that know what they're doing , is pretty much alot faster to do than full blown sprite work.
plus that's literally what he does in flash form.
that depends if you want to make something good with it... which jasonafex clearly can't do , even though i (shamefuly) like his animations.Depends on the nature of the skeletal animation. Rigged characters have limitations such as convincing joints, without a bit of extra rigging. However the second you want to do a new angle (which is just about every animation, honestly), you have to do some more rigging, otherwise you just have permanent side view, which looks very amateurish. It's sort of the contradiction for bone animation, which is that people use it as a shortcut, but if it saves time, you probably aren't using it effectively. That said, if you do make your 5-10 rigs for a character and angles, you would eventually make up the time. But that's outside of the scope of most random games, I think.that depends if you want to make something good with it... which jasonafex clearly can't do , even though i (shamefuly) like his animations.
i think it's pretty much a lack of skill or bad tools that ended up making skeletal animations a problem for him. it would be a lot better if he could copy-paste animations to other objects , in order to make clothes follow your character for example , but he either doesn't know his software well enough , or he lacks the skills to find better software. (i never animated anything myself outside of pivot so i'm just guessing things here)
my understanding is that : skeletal animation really gives alot of shortcuts to go through when adding new characters and such , but the initial burden is a bit higher.
You need to find a key and hit the key before going to a chestPicked the female. Got hit once by a bee and knocked down. Was never able to get back up. No button prompt. Nothing in the controller config.
Restarted. Went to the left a screen or two and found a chest I have no idea how to open. No prompt, nothing in the button config. Went into the door to the left of the chest, got a "Thanks for playing" screen and prompted to quit or go back to the menu.
Is there any 'game' in this game?
Edit: I finally got a chest to open! I just had to sit on top of it and spam the attack button until the game deigned to read that I was hitting it. Yeesh.
Maybe I'll try again in the future when it isn't a laggy pile of bugs.
Except that it did actually open. The games a laggy pile of bugs. Pretty much unplayable. You need to find a key and hit the key before going to a chest
Hey so iv been playing the game and its had been recently updated could you get the new updated version? So its really less laggy and buggyFor those wondering about this, it's a remake of the old Bare Backstreets game and it isn't the same as that one. It's also a bit buggy at times.

That's a thing for everything Jason touches. It either gets abandoned or has reduced content. More than obvious why people would like to see him leaving the internet. The real reason the previous game was scrapped was tensions between devs and jasonafex. Internal drama or something. The what about that are blurs. That's what I recall from that.
Wanting someone to leave the internet is pretty toxic. That's a thing for everything Jason touches. It either gets abandoned or has reduced content. More than obvious why people would like to see him leaving the internet.
To tolerate such behavior towards fans and other people is pretty a-hole like.Wanting someone to leave the internet is pretty toxic.
How about using cheat engine (speed hack) to slow game down? It works flawless on me at less.To tolerate such behavior towards fans and other people is pretty a-hole like.
Give him advise in a good way and you get either blocked or insulted. Give him cash and you get rewarded with half finished games or a total mess like the new bare backstreets game here. Stay long enough around him and you regret your choice.i dont keep up with any drama but now im curious. can someone explain to me what is the drama bechind Jeson and why people hate him ? all i know about the guy is that he does animations and did the amorous game. beyond that i have no clue.
But when you reach the portal it tells you to go to the patreon and donate. It doesn't look like patreon versionPatreon
