That said, this game is fantastic for what's here. This really is an upgrade from Night games and it really hits the right notes for my... interests. Thank you for the work you've already done, adding my voice to the chorus to say I am also looking forward to an update if its in the cards.

I played this game a little over a year ago. Absolutely fell in love with it. Could not wait to see where it went.
Today it popped back into my brain and I couldnt remember the name of it. Legit just spent the last like hour and a half trying all the different tag combinations i could think of to find it.
FINALLY FOUND IT!
Really sad no new update. I understand completely....... BUT DAMN DID I WANT MORE...... such a good game with good execution

Sigh. I actually have a good sized block of content that I've been sitting on, because I'm not 100% sure it "fits"... I wanted there to be a re-occuring weekly event where the house has a chance to socialize, and also as a literary device to enable Maya to make some "friends" outside the confines of the house.. so I created this "VIP" party, which is honestly pretty rad... Maya can walk around and interact with randos and meet a few characters who are shaping up in my mind to be "key" storyline characters. Some of these are "transactional" relationships, and others I see developing into legitimate friendships. But I kind of went hog-wild with it, and there's a bunch of content in there I don't think will probably wind up making in. Over all it's super fun, IMO, there's even a drunk mechanic with several different consequence scenes if Maya over-indulges at the party. I'll tease some graphics for ya.

I also have the first of the bathroom scenes in the bag, which is a bath maya can take every morning with Joy... these scenes are -- even if I do say so myself -- VERY nicely done, and I have been trying to decide whether they should get dolled out in a game-mechanic-unlock-them-as-you-go way, but I kind of hate that idea.. anyway these are all animated and have move menus so you can choose your own bathtime fun

you motherfuckers are going to hate me for this, but I've also started another project, also in renpy also with a fight system, but original characters and storyline. It's called "Operation Establish Dominance", and it's about a pair of "super cops" who get sent into a derilict cty called "Rapecide" to establish law and order, with predicable results. The fight system is quite different from Battle-Arena Reyka... it's basically a rock/paper/scissors system with dice-rolls for tie-breaker situations. It's a lot more cinematic and story-driven than what I have for BAR as well..
I've learned a TON from battle-arena reyka, and the several other projects I've started and abandoned in the mean time, and I feel like I'm really on to something with "Operation Establish Dominance". In my opinion, if people aren't paying you, you've got 110% license to make or not make whatever the heck you want without apology.
(You probably know this but I'm just saying it to counteract anyone who decides to give you a ton of shit for not making the content they wanted.)

Honestly I Dont hate any of this or your previous comments. Honestly I loved Bar and personally i would say do and add whatever you like and if your fan base doesnt like it then adjust. I wouldnt worry to much about "if it fits" instead add it in and keep doing what you enjoy with it. I feel theres a few games i follow where the developer gets to hung up on "what others would like" and they are allready sitting on a gold mine. Adding more too it can never be a bad thing even if it strays fromt he original idea a little. I love the bath scenes you showed and the new game also looks fun as hell.
Also the drunk scene sounds like it would be a really nice addition

spent a few hours yesterday wiring the new content in, and I have some bugs to work out, and I have some already introduced bugs to fix as well (like book-reading, and the lists not working right in the octave/maya/marcus threesome, thanks for the kind words and encouragement uguise

I have most of this wired up... Doing some playthrough I notice I'm missing a few fight-system graphics with maya and holly.. specifically at least two graphics where Maya is in top-side positions against holly... I have to assume these have always been missing and nobody has noticed because it's "late-game" stuff, and there is no late game yet.. or reachable by cheats.. so I won't block this release behind fixing those. I do need to add some art for Maya reading in her room since I have the reading mechanic fixed, and I probably need to disconnect the Harry marketplace work I've done because it's all very buggy and nascent. gimme another day or two and I should have a release
